  1. Yep....works now, haha. Thanks.
  2. Nope, it stays selected. I tried hitting it and saving, and hitting reset too, still looks the same. Those options are under the Profile picture options though, it should look similar to it right?
  3. Yeah, the "don't use an avatar" is there and selected but no other options.
  4. To upload an avatar we do go under "Edit Avatar" correct? I've only got one option and that's "Do not use an avatar" which is selected (can't "unselect" it), and the rest is the description and note, and the current avatar which is none. The only other options are the save and reset fields.

  11. [ QUOTE ] A friend of mine was in the area between Montcalm and Matoaka during the warning and has a nice picture on his cell phone of an actual twister (I don't know the scientific names for these) in the air. It never touched down to do damage but you can clearly see its shape in the sky about even with the mountains. [/ QUOTE ] Tornado if its on the ground and funnel cloud otherwise. The storm looked pretty good on the radar as it was passing through southern West Va. Looked like it had developed a bit of a hook echo on the southwestern side. Started weakening near the VA/WV line and continued from there. Only seen a couple of storm reports on the SPC site from Mercer, and that was a tree reported on a house and quarter size hail covering the ground in Matoaka. Never mind, it appears the radar image I had up didn't save properly, haha..

  13. And if they were paired opposite of each other there would still be a chance 2 number one seeds could face each other in the semis, as always is the case with more than two districts. One of the supposedly better teams gets knocked out often that way in tournaments.

  17. http://www.tricities.com/tristate/tri/sports.apx.-content-articles-TRI-2008-04-15-0011.html VHSL grants Grundy appeal, denies John Battle's request Tuesday, Apr 15, 2008 - 12:00 AM by bucky dent bristol herald courier Grundy principal Leslie Horne got the good news for which she was hoping. As for John Battle, it was a different story. At a meeting in Charlottesville Monday, the Virginia High School League’s Redistricting & Reclassification Committee voted to uphold Grundy’s appeal to stay in the Group AA Southwest District, but denied John Battle’s appeal to return to the Hogoheegee District. The 13-person committee granted Grundy’s appeal by an 11-1-1 vote on the grounds that the Buchanan County school has a right to "play up," meaning it can play in AA despite having Group A-sized enrollment. With just 483 students, Grundy is the league’s smallest AA school. It had asked to move into Region D’s Lonesome Pine District, which didn’t want to take them. Instead, the VHSL assigned it to the Black Diamond District, whose schools are all within an hour of Grundy. But Horne opposed the move. "I’m all about kids and participation," she said. "I want opportunities to participate for kids and I feel like we have that right now. I know that if the kids are involved, they’re off the streets." Horne said that if the VHSL had ordered her school into the BDD, the possibility existed that programs would have to be cut, since the BDD doesn’t sponsor as many sports as the SWD. Horne credited Carroll County principal Robbie Patton, who serves on the R&R Committee, and VHSL executive director Ken Tilley for understanding Grundy’s situation. "He understands our geographic predicament in filling out a schedule," Horne said of Tilley. "And poor Robbie, it seems like every time he goes to Charlottesville for one of these meetings, he has to deal with Grundy. "But he does a good job for us with the R&R committee." Horne said another factor in Grundy’s request to stay in the SWD was fan support – not just from its fans, but from those of other SWD schools, specifically Richlands, which travel to Grundy. Rumors suggested that SWD principals told Horne at a recent meeting that if Grundy’s appeal was turned down, they would not schedule Grundy in any sport. Horne said that wasn’t discussed. As for John Battle, athletic director Larry Cannon holds no grudges against the Hogoheegee District or Region C, which opposed the Trojans’ proposal to return. The R&R Committee vetoed Battle’s request by a 12-0-1 vote. George Wythe principal Richard Skeens spoke in opposition of the Trojans’ appeal. "It kind of went pretty much as we expected," Cannon said after driving back from VHSL headquarters. "We felt like our chances were probably slim, but we were hoping things might work out for us." Cannon said Battle’s primary reason for a move back to Region C was to play in the same district with fellow Washington County schools Holston and Patrick Henry. The VHSL’s official reason for denying Battle’s appeal was to maintain region and district balance in Regions C and D. "It’s a tough job for the VHSL to put schools in a way that fits everybody," Cannon said. "There’s always somebody which feels like they were put in the wrong place, but we understand their concerns. "We’re looking forward to competing in the Clinch Mountain District and Region D. There’s a lot of good things happening in both areas." Battle was placed into Region D and the newly-formed CMD after participating in the Hogoheegee from 1995-96 until the 2006-07 school year. The R&R decisions are final until the 2009-10 school year’s conclusion.

  19. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/news?slug=ga-midwestnotes032708&prov=yhoo&type=lgns THE BIG HOUSES The NCAA is playing two of the regionals in domed NFL stadiums, here at Ford Field and at Houston’s Reliant Stadium, and experimenting with a new placement of the courts. The courts in Detroit and Houston are set up where the 50-yard line would be rather than at one of the corners of the stadium. That makes the sightlines different for fans, and for shooters. The court actually is raised 27 inches off the ground. It will be a different perspective for some coaches too. They can opt to sit on a stool on the floor above their benches. Players weighed in on the setup: • Stephen Curry, Davidson: “Depth perception with the rims, on the field, it’s kind of hard to adjust to. But that’s what practice is for, just to get used to the arena and the atmosphere. I’m actually looking forward to playing here. I’ve never played in this kind of arena before. It should be fun.†• Michael Flowers, Wisconsin: “I don’t think it’s going to be tough. The baskets are still 10 feet, the court is the same length, so it’s just like playing anywhere else. One of the good things about playing in the Big Ten is that Minnesota’s floor is up just like this, so it shouldn’t be too tough getting used to.†• Scottie Reynolds, Villanova: “We got sent an email overview of the court. You could see all the stands and you see this little wooden thing, it was about like thumbnail-small. We were looking for the court. Then we saw it in the middle. It was amazing to see from a picture aspect. When you get out there and start playing, getting the feel of it, it just feels like a regular gym. … But what about [if] we go for a loose ball, dive and go off the court? I mean, that’s the thing I was scared about.†• Russell Robinson, Kansas: “The court elevation, I don’t think that’s going to be a problem. I can play on a roof, you know, if that’s where we have to play.†This year’s Final Four is at the Alamodome in San Antonio, where the court will be situated near one of the end zones. Detroit will play host to the Final Four in 2009. The rationale for the new setup is simple: to sell more tickets. In Detroit, 57,000 two-day passes have been purchased. Organizers are expecting more than 105,000 fans for the weekend.
