Thanks guys... I personally believe that that the higher seed should play as the home team on a turf field closest to their home field. We all remember that swamp up in Tolsia a couple of years ago.... with there being so much rain this year I am sure that there are quite a few locations that are now mudholes. No one should have to play in those conditions with so many well kept and turf locations around this great state.

I have heard numerous rumors that all semifinal games in West Virginia will be played on Turf fields. Is this true and does anyone know the total amount of Turf covered fields in the state?? Location??? I pray that some of our teams in this area will benefit from this ruling if it is true.

truth is GC had a great team that played with a lot of heart.... The series will continue and hopefully our kids can welcome them to Bluefield I'm sure our fans will greet them with the Mitchell Stadium rowdiness.... God Bless both teams and all of our great fans.

WEll Howdy HillBilly..... Thats fun I LMAO this morning as a really good friend and a former Gainer player pointed that out.... It has to be a miracle even for a great man such as Coach Gainer to arrive at the packed house and witness last nights game...

I believe the media will fly with it, the fans are still emotionally disturbed and I'm sure that the young men returning this year that was a part of both teams will try to validate whatever the "real" outcome was or should have been...As far as running up the score i personally believe that Simon and cast have too much class to do such a thing.... However if those same officials came back they might recieve a few punches from the spectators....All in all both of these programs are great and usually rise to the occassion... I pray that it will be a beautiful game in that beautiful stadium with thousands of beautiful fans........

rocks... I was diss''''apointed also... I arrived at that game a lil' early , a friend and myself walked out on it... I lost my shoes twice in that muck. If we ever arrive at another field in that kind of condition I hope that the game is postponed and moved to a different location.

Jimballin... i think this one will be a good game... Scott is in as well as Bluefield and our beavers just need to 1st have a great week of practice..stay focused and execute the things that they have been taught... It's nothin' like football fridays..bands playin, fans screamin' and the WVSSAC playoffs...

sounded like a very good game..(listened to some of it on the radio). Graham will have to play like 43LL to keep advancing in the SWD. Looks like Tazwell and Richlands will be lurking around both which are really good teams this year. Hey has anyone heard anything else about the kid that got hurt at Graham practice?????.... I pray for his speedy recovery and for safe and injury free practices at all of our local sports teams as the end of the regular season and post seasons heat up.

Wow....what a terrible tradgedy... May God Touch and Bless all of the families, friends, and communities involved. Our youth is our future and it really brings some things into perspective when we hear about things like this. I don't think any of us could understand what it feels like to lose so many people in such a terrible and tragic way.. God Bless them all and all of you.

it's begining to get a little interesting now....what about Graham??? Will/Did they advance by beating Abington on Friday? With Bluefield, Graham. Tazwell, Richlands, James Monroe, and others looking to make the playoffs etc. there should be some football being played well up to and after the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Especially when you factor in those officials up there saw Bluefield foul Ravenswood 32 times and only saw one foul from Ravenswood... my nephew was a starter on that team and came home with some permanent fingernail marks on his arms back and neck... needless to say he was fortunate enough to get to the charity stripe...anyways... these guys will have to find it in theirselves to overcome whatever is going on with coaches and officials and just tackle the task at hand....does anybody think that Fred S. would consider taking the job?????.. Now that would be interesting because he does have basketball experience and would surely have 'em ready to play....

The Board really Screwed up in not Hiring Tony webster last year // He was definately the most capable of the candidates and would have been in it for the long haul. Havens did a decent job but with the talent that was there he shoulda brought one home... Hey last year is over tho' and I pray that they choose a quality BASKETBALL Coach... Our Kids deserve nothing less and if they dont get it then I see the program declining even further......Let's pray that iot doesnt happen this way.

Coach Gravely is a fine Man and a good coach. despite Mt Views woes in the past he has stuck with a program that many people probably couldnt survive within. I pray that he will be alright because I know that he would never intentionaly hurt anyone. He doesn't have a bad bone in his body. I also pray that the victims family will be alright. I'm sure that this is a tuffy for both sides.

a lot sooner than any of you could imagine... but you are right... a few correct calls... a few less turnovers and mental mistakes and this years Beavers are only doing what is expected of all Beavers.. Carson Newman is an excellent football team ... so much so that many division I teams refuse to play them. However why would any AD or coach even try and put them on the schedule when 1. Hardly anybody is going to come out and watch them beat up on the local team. 2. Your team has been embarrassed so much in the 10 or more seasons prior to this one by lesser opponents. 3. when you have very few local players .....local support. .............Things were the same in the 90's when they continually scheduled Catawba.....level of play was way beyond Concord.

I will try to convince at least one of the owners of that video to post it on youtube or somewhere.

For your information I have seen at least three different films and being someone who's been around football a third of a century plus some I think that I would know when someone scores and when they don't. The problem with all of this that you are thriving on a falsehood. Then the march of the zebras ensued at which point they never made any call at all....they only did what any dumb brute animal would do when fear seized their bowels and their undeveloped hearts raced wildly, their insufficient brains tried hard to grasp the concept of whether to do the right thing or do nothing.. they did nothing. They will pay for their incompetency... will you pay for your refusal to admit what really happened. What is going to happen to any of you guys when that noseguard, tackle, and backer has to admit that they got drilled by that beaver line??? I am soooo sick of hearing you people blast these guys about how small they are... if these young men were giants it would have been hard to beat those terrible "so called officials" From what I hear they were from Richlands.....its sad that they would represent a football town because they had no idea of what was going on or they were simply body cavities below the waistline... News Flash Happy campers................ "Graham didnt win that ballgame". The officials pretty much did it for them. The Graham players and coaches should enjoy the W because they couldnt control what the officials did....>> However they may not ever want to look at that game on film...first off that was the most unsportsmanlike Graham team ever....they held, hit late, facemask, etc. etc. ...aside from that they would have to see that most of the calls made against that "young, small, fast Bluefield team" had no base at all just SWD officials biases..... Leon is a pretty good coach, Tracy is cool as they get and a great former athlete and coach, Michael is down to earth and a friend to everyone..........Maurice...I'll let you research this article a little more......Wolf in sheeps clothing comes to mind when I think of him.
