Sorry, Richlands does NOT have a "network". 540 & 105.5 belong to the Browns and I simply push a button to simulcast them. Some people like AM better for some reason, so why not? 100.7 is majority owned by a couple from up near Princeton. And I don't need to tell you why ANY $tation does HS football game$, now, do I? With the Kicks/104 gang running the Tazewell games on 107.7 in Richlands (the old YRV-FM), I'd say it's the only town in Va. that has games on 4 stations. And don't forget, I do a better scoreboard, too. I wonder if that other station even knows where the other semi is being played? Or will they wait 'til after Ron gives the score to the PA guy to update it?

I've never been there, myself. Only been in Salem's 1 time - 4th of July some years back to see Foreigner, Edwin McCain and whoever else. Hit the ballpark ? last year ? when they had the Billy Wagner bobblehead giveaway, which was while the the Commonwealth Games were going on. The last thing I saw on Victory was about 3 weeks ago in the <A HREF="http://www.roanoke.com/news/roanoke/13746.html"> Roanoke Times</A> where some steps "crumbled" during the Glass-PH game.

Absolutely. Go to 5 or 6 Groups and forget the division BS. 50 or 60 per class / 12-15 per region / 2 districts of about 6-8 each. Top 2 play on. My 1 hosts your 2 and vice-versa. Flip a coin to decide who hosts regional final (I hate the 2 year rotational thing and we only want to use ratings points to break ties).

they're still arguing about it... benefits / cost / historical aspects / where to build replacement / etc. I dunno if they'll ever decide what to do.

not Salem's... it was Roanoke's Victory Stadium down near the hospital that flooded. If Salem's had flooded, Roanoke wouldn't be there anymore.

No, everyone who wanted to see the game was NOT there. Some of us had to work and only had time to stop by the stadium at 3:15.

no reason for it NOT to be an option. No school Friday, no conflict with Tech, visiting fans would get home at a decent hour (not 1 am), some people get Fri. off from work. Worked for Tech a few years ago (except for the drizzle). I just hope I don't have to work the game then stay for the 11 pm scoreboard. Saw in today's Post that a Northern Region AAA game is also set for 1:30 Fri. Heck, Bassett fans could even take in the C'burg-Gretna game on their way home or catch some of the Salem-Amherst game on the radio!

Franklin County's loss to E.C. Glass seals the deal for Graham to open at Tazewell, plus it sends Magna Vista to Richlands & Carroll Co. to Bassett.

My calculations show Graham is in and Martinsville stays home. Here's my Region IV cheat sheet.

My stuff doesn't say that if Magna won that RIchlands would be playin CC first round. Someone changed something. Here's how I have it right now ... for Magna to open at Bassett, they need all 4 of these teams to win today : Franklin Co, GW-Dan., Fleming & Petersburg, PLUS Dan River to win on Monday. Sooooo, looks like the Warriors will come to Richlands.

I do scores at 10 & 10:30, plus a bit more at 11 (like WV & next week), then just the local teams every half-hour w/ the weather the rest of the night on 105.5, home of the Blue Tornado.

Heard a lot of SWD teams have some holes to fill for next year.
