  1. Please stop posting your chain emails here.
  2. Try http://www.thedailyshow.com They usually put up clips right after they air the show.
  3. Yeah LOL, I remember the first time I heard "whambulance"...in 1992.
  4. You're probably right, as I've never watched the show. I was just speaking about ignorance, and there is an abundance of it on here.
  5. But I'm a heartless, baby-killing liberal...what do I do now?
  6. Actually, one of the only atheists that I know is a Repulbican. Checkmate, republicans! And doesn't most everyone have a feeling of intellectual superiority when it comes to religious beliefs? Anyone that has an opinion on religion think that they have the correct answer and everyone else is wrong. Religion sort of hinges on you being right, and everyone else being wrong.
  7. How am I supposed to read it if I take off my glasses?
  8. My point was that the founders did several things that seem to contridict the exact principles that they set in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Way to throw up the abortion issue, since it has nothing to do with this conversation about the founders. Actually, I would be interested to know their stance on abortion.
  9. Just because they did something a long time ago, doesnt mean it was right. Do we also forget that this country was found on the work of slaves? I guess if the founders did it, we should still be doing it.
  10. Sadly, they do not have to try too hard. Just checkout the political board and you will know exactly what I'm talking about.
  11. Just when I thought you couldn't be any more ignorant you had to go and say something like that.
  12. My thoughts exactly! I mean, I'm sure Ryan could have found some actual facts to make Obama look bad. Why would he pull out a bunch of out right lies in such a big speech that he knows will be scrutinized?
  13. I hear foxnews.com has a message board. Maybe we can try it. It's slightly less conservative than this board. EDIT: And apparently I wasn't even joking...I just found this article on foxnews.com calling Paul Ryan a liar. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2012/08/30/paul-ryans-speech-in-three-words/
  14. It's times like this that I wish I would have watched the LOTR series :(
  15. If I may steal your quote... This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. ftfy And we have 3 games coming up with the Padres, which we should at least take 2 of 3 if we don't sweep. Hopefully the Gnats keep this up and lose a couple to the Cards. We should be able to gain a game or two by the end of this week. Looking ahead at the schedule, out of the 34 remaining games the Braves only play 3 games against a team with a winning record (Pirates), not including the 3 we play against the Gnats. The Gnats have 10 games against teams with above .500 records, not including the 3 games against us. We have a decent shot at making a run for the division title, but it is going to take some faltering from the Gnats, while we continue to play solid ball.
  17. I did not work full time, at that time. Only two part time jobs. One of which was a 30 hour/week well paying job, but without benefits, the other was just to make some extra money. My wife left her full time, dead-end job with benefits to pursue a career that had much more promise, but it required her to drop down to part-time for a few months. That is when we had to find our own private insurance plan. I had no problem getting coverage, but my wife did, all because of a medication that she had previously been prescribed, even though she was/is in better shape and health than I am. I could just imagine how much trouble it would be if we were both a little older at the time with any past health issues.
  18. Because its that easy.... Have you ever had to buy your own insurance? Have you tried to find a full time job recently? No offense, but if you haven't then you probably have no idea how difficult it can be. The issue isn't always paying for a health insurance policy on your own, it's that insurance companies will literally find any reason possible to deny you coverage. Just two years ago, my wife had trouble getting coverage while she was between jobs even though she was 25 and extremely healthy. You are incredibly naive if you think it is always as simple as working and extra job or going back to school. Besides, the affordable care act doesn't provide government funded healthcare for everyone, it only ensures that everyone can have access to health insurance by prohibiting insurance companies from denying coverage for preexisting conditions. Unfortunately, that included the individual mandate that requires everyone to have health insurance coverage or pay a fee to the government for not having health insurance. This is to keep people from taking advantage of insurance companies, by waiting until they are sick before they buy insurance, since the companies cannot deny coverage based on preexisting conditions. The Affordable Care Act also does several other things to help reform the broken health insurance system that we have now...but you know, it's all just a bunch of socialism.
  19. Don't get me wrong, Bubba Gumps has decent food...but I wouldn't call it amazing. And like H07 said, those restaurants are only in places that have massive tourist flow already, they are not the attraction for tourists. Not saying I don't visit fun places like this when I'm on vacation, but I would much rather have a nicer restaurant with better food than one of the touristy places with decent food.
  20. More than just a steakhouse? So you want a touristy restaurant with mediocre food? Not sure what your definition of exotic is, but none of the restaurants you listed are considered exotic by most people.
  21. http://www.timesnews.net/article/9050760/cabelas-buiding-85000-square-foot-outlet-in-bristol-va Cabela's buiding 85,000 square foot outlet in Bristol, Va. Cabela’s Incorporated announced today plans to bring the Cabela’s shopping experience to customers in Bristol, Va., and the surrounding area. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2013 and Cabela’s expects to open the location in 2014. It will be the first Cabela’s store in Virginia. The announce was the second major retail development for the Bristol area. Last week Bass Pro announced it would be locating a outlet in Bristol, TN. The 85,000-square-foot store, to be located in The Falls development area close to Interstate 81’s Exit 5 along Lee Highway, will be built in Cabela’s trademark style with an exterior of log construction, stonework, wood siding and metal roofing. Large glass storefronts will allow customers to view much of the store’s interior as they approach the building. The interior will highlight Cabela’s next-generation layout, which is designed to maximize product assortment and availability while surrounding customers in the outdoor experience with wildlife and outdoor memorabilia displays. It will feature thousands of quality outdoor products, museum-quality animal mounts, a Gun Library, Bargain Cave and Fudge Shop, as well as other unique features. “Cabela’s has a deep customer base not only in and around Bristol but across the region, people who share our passion for the Great Outdoors,†said Tommy Millner, Cabela’s Chief Executive Officer. “These outdoorsmen and women have supported Cabela’s for a long time, shopped with us via our catalog and online, so it was time to bring them the unique Cabela’s retail experience.†The store will be an anchor tenant of The Falls, a new retail development scheduled to accommodate about 1.5 million-square-feet of retail space. “We are proud that Cabela’s has chosen Bristol as their first location in Virginia,†said Bristol, Va., Mayor Jim Steele. “The unique style of their retail locations parallels the natural beauty of Virginia. This, coupled with Cabela’s commitment to providing exceptional experiences for the outdoor enthusiast, makes The Falls a perfect location for a shopping stopover for locals and those traveling to Bristol.â€
