It is my experience that once the teams get to this time of year the officials allow them to play more and try not to decide the outcome of a game, EX. by not calling holding on the backside of the play that that the kid has no chance of making the tackle. Just my experience

Richlands was 5-2 I think. didn't pay that much attn. My kid played 8th grade

Thank you rabidbeaver. We have been run down on here by other fans saying that we are inhospitable but in all honesty we just love our Blue Tornado Football Program. We get loud and have a good time and I am not aware of anything being said or done to opposing teams or fans. In the end we all just need to remember that these are just high school students and they need our encouragement and support. I for one am proud to be a member of the Blue Neck Nation.

By far the best football game I have witnessed in along time, Our boys came out on the losing end but I bet there is a little more respect for Richlands than there was a week ago. True any one can complain about the refs but I will not be one of them. This was going to be a heart breaker either way. GO Blues finish this regular season and continue to play ball like tonight and you will go very deep into the playoffs.

I guess everyone can see a game differently,but don't call richlands classless,when some of graham's players put photos on their bus.The picture is of 2 g-men hitting helmet 2 helmet on the richlands player.I believe that's illegal.So who really showed no class? By the way,most of the players on the jv squad graham played are freshmen.

Not to belittle anyone but Richlands just isn't hitting anyone. Wicks had a couple of good shots but arm takling just doesn't get it done when they're running the ball down your throught.

You may want to go look at the field before you keep those games on the card. It is a mud pit.

I would say Big Creek without a Doubt.

I think they might just be a little better than people give them credit for. Looked pretty good in 7 on 7 (and yes I know it was just 7 on 7 but they looked well put together)

I could probably get my boys to get a schedule. But if you have ever talked to their coach its like picking up a rock and looking at it and demanding it to answer. I don't know what is up with that kid.

No one is giving abingdon any credit I think they may be a little better that you think. They looked pretty good @ the Richlands 7 on 7. Not bad at all.

the problem is that no one thought of putting in french drains around the parking lots and surrounding areas and all of that water spills into the valley created by the field. This could be taken care of with a directional boring machine and some corregated piping and while they were at it put about 8 lines down the center of the field and the field would drain nicely. Problem solved the center hump would be gone and we could run a sweep from the hash mark! LOL

Might not be able to use the ball field at Critterville but there is a decent sized field there beside the picnic shelter that u could use any time.

Rumor mill has it that they promised money for a big project to another school and then never came through. I hope it doesn't happen.

As far as the amature (sp) status is concerned just look at LaBron. This is not exactly like his situation but the NCAA definitely didn't like him getting a free shirt for doing a newspaper ad for a sporting goods store.

They wouldn't have to travel out of state to practice for the state games or maybe even would allow other teams in the area that are involve to come here to practice . I think it is a good idea. I also heard that the only holdup was that EMATS wanted to put their logo on the turf somewhere and someone in the county didn't like that idea.
