With that in mind it is kind of hard to play JV players in the 3rd and 4th quarter and tell them not to try their best, when all week you tell them to give 110% at all times. I totally agree with the RHS coaches after the game is in hand pull your starters and let the younger boys get some experience. You may not see the benefits today but wait until next year when these guys are your starters and they have true game experience they will not panic under pressure.

When I played it was acceptable. It was not a weekly thing by any means but coaching can be done at any point in time and in any venue. By watching tapes or games a coach can get to a player and make things click. He can tell you a thousand time what you need to do but sometimes you see it done and it will just come to you what you are doing wrong.

This all rolls back to a few of us having meetings and no one showing up not even "Heads of Camps" that are supposed to be there for votes on league matters. I've attended the majority of the meeting for the past 2-3 years and very little has gotten accomplished on the first motion because there are not enough voting members there. As for parents if they are having problems they are welcome to come to these meetings and voice their opinions in front of everybody or if they so choose they can request to meet only with the board behind closed doors. So if something is stuck in your crawl it's your fault, there are means to have wrongs righted. As far as being like Little League Baseball I'm all in favor of not ever being like them. Someone posted in the other thread about taking the youth league to the rec park to play evidently he has never tried to get the Town of Richlands to do anything that didn't benefit a family member or person of stature in this town. We belong in EHS just as much as any other league in this county. That stadium was built, financed, run and maintained with county money that comes from taxes of these childrens parents as well. I haven't seen this on here so i would like to personally ask all of the people involved with the Richlands / Tazewell Midget program to thank Earl Griffith and the Board of supervisors for donations and support for our youth program. Sorry if I have offended anyone or stepped on any toes but thats my take on it. Hope yall don't make me go to Honaker. You know what I mean. LOL

BigD If I am not mistake wasn't the old RR house and property donated to the town on the grouds that they turn it into a RR museum? Thought I read something in the paper a few years back and wasn't it designated as "historical". Would it not be hard to remove that designation?

I saw on another website that UVA has invited McCracken to "walk-on". That is a slap in the face inmy opinion. If they want him give him a ride, whether it be full or partial it could still influence his decision.

Just wanted to know if Richlands has gained any respect now that they have played a "formidable" opponent?
