You must be a total idiot. I lost all respect for Zidane when he did that. To me, his credibility as a captain and leader of that team flew out the window. He should've had his ass kicked for what he did. If I was the other guy on the end of that head-but, I think my response would've been a little more agressive. Good thing he kept his cool, probably made the difference in winning the world cup and sitting at home wishing you had done it differently. One word. STUPID. Anybody who aspires to be that way is stupid too.

I do recall a bluefield punt returner getting knocked unconscious in the 1984 contest...and yes, he did have a cracked helmet. Those guys met helmet to helmet, if I recall. I can't remember the names of either player, but I remember the hit and it was one of the hardest hits I have EVER seen in high school football. The kid was carried off on a stretcher and that is the truth. Luckily they were both o.k.

i think the coaches are looking to Cole to be qb for the next 3 years. yost will likely be a receiver and play defense. I wonder who the backup is going to be.

Tibbs will be lucky to get much playing time, with the backfield that Graham has this year...i'd say Carper, Brown and Barreras will get the majority of carries...hope Tibbs contributes as well....plus Graham will have some weapons at receiver this year...and Cole has a good arm, should be a team really similar to that 2001 squad...IMO... I predict a lot of points...If I were to compare this year's Graham team and the one in 2001...I'd say a little less offense, but a ton of more defense!!! I'm excited about the possibilities this year!

i'd say bluefield has a lot of arrogance...that's what graham doesn't have....

Graham is my favorite to win the SWD, Giles to win the Three Rivers... those are the only two districts I am familiar with. Graham and Richlands will be a battle this year. Graham has too much speed and it will be the difference.

Life is hard. Sometimes you get the crap kicked out of you. It's a learning experience.

they should look on the virginia side for some teams in close proximity. I would love to see Bluefield vs. Salem year in and year out.

Carroll County is not nearly as good as last season, IMO. Just going by what I've seen.

last season is gone. It could and probably will be totally different this season. I'll predict this as the order of finish. 1. Graham 2. Tazewell 3. Richlands 4. Carroll County 5. Grundy Graham, richlands and tazewell will advance to the playoffs and somebody from another district will take the 4th spot for Division 3.

If you ask me, neither team is that great. Carroll has not impressed me at all this season, nor have the G-Men. Looks like the SWD is very "sub-par" this season. Have fun playing in the SWD tourney, because that's where it will end for all SWD teams. I'll say a 3-3 tie.

If you ask me, Carroll County's girls team is horrible, I've seen them play. Martinsville's girls are terrible to say the least. Sorry to offend anybody. Floyd County totally dominated Carroll County twice and then Floyd turned around and got spanked by Radford 6-0. Don't make a big deal of Carroll beating Martinsville, Martinsville's girls team is a totally different animal than Martinsville's boys team.

Graham will have the best group of DB's with Matt Yost, Carper and Steven Brown, hands down.

Graham will return to the top of the SWD this season. The run for Richlands is over. It will be business as usual again in the SWD. Graham at the top....everybody else fighting for 2nd... and as far as TJ and Steven go... you are correct, they could end up with two backs on the same team rushing for 1000.
