No you said you couldn't play Graham and the refs. That is giving props on nothing. Besides you ever heard of foward progress? When the QB was hit, he was at the two, and his knee was down at the 1. No one made Drew Walker choke on a toudchdown pass. No one on Tazewell tackled Robert Henry in the 4th quarter. There are lots of reasons you lost, but the refs are not one of them. You hate smartasses? I hate sore losers. Guess we are even, except we won and you lost.

They are currently ranked #1 in WV AAA and really haven't had a "close" game yet in spite of a fairly difficult WV schedule. Again, I know it was only a scrimmage but this is the only way I can relate it to you, Woodrow absolutely THROTTLED a pretty good Rockbridge Co. team in the preseason. Don't knock the small schools, Ron. J.I. Burton is as tough as they get and for a Division 1 school, is very good this season. Anytime a team goes 7-0 to start the season in the Lonesome Pine District, they've got to be given their props. According to the straight numbers, Pulaski County for example would be the 5th smallest AAA in VA right now, if not for all the schools playing up in class. This is a problem around the Richmond area with schools choosing to play up in class so they won't have to drive a half hour to a football game. No one actually plays down, it is a problem with playing up, and the bottom schools in the higher classification get to drop if they choose. And before you jump me, Graham is guilty also of playing up, which is where we have always have played. We play up, and someone gets to play down. That is a fact, and the system is messed up, and it is no one's fault. But it needs to be fixed, and the only way you are going to have that happen is to make the member schools do this because no one can agree on how to fix the problem.

And if they did, everyone around is going to be single A, so you would have another Lee County situation and district travel will be impossible. I would be shocked if this county ever went to two high schools.

Lance, if there is no playing up or down then Grundy doesn't have a choice. They will be A with Graham and Tazewell. And even if you close Pocy and send them to Graham that would only give us 623 kids, which still only makes us the 19th largest single A school in the state. Under this scenerio Graham is still single A.

All those schools play up, someone gets to come down and we have huge differences in enrollment at the state level. This may be the smartest thing they have ever done. I am amazed they never did this years ago.

Actually, with the exception of Pulaski Co. it would be intact.

If it is done by regions it would depend on who is placed where. I would say that Va High would end up in region D with Graham,Tazewell,and Grundy is region C. Who knows, I really don't care, as long as this BS is fixed by the VHSL.
