AHS showed tons of grit on Friday. Blacksburg has some very good players. I know what the statistics say about kicking onside and going for it on 4th down blah, blah, blah. I just don't think that it is a sound decision. I think that it is very important to play the field position game, especially when you are holding Abingdon's offense in check and take away any momentum they may have.

Yeah okay John Bottle Sports. AHS had their starters out early in the 3rd. Yes this will be the best team that PH has faced to date. PH isn't Holston or Lebanon.

Battle scrimmaged at Fort Chiswell last Saturday. Fort took this game 35-6 I believe. I don't think that the Falcons will have much of a problem.

PH may want to take off as much time on the clock as possible to keep AHS from scoring 50 tonight. Hopefully the Falcons can get some work on offense with their second team.

I think that it is very sad that communities that we live in are having to resort to this type of format. It is a shame that you have to travel that far to play in elementary school. I have heard many football coaches talk about the game of football as being under attack. I guess this is further proof that it is. Just throwing this out there, I think it also is a reflection of our country. Playing the game of football you have to put aside differences in order to be successful and pick each other up when things are going bad. Just my opinion.

I totally agree with you on this point. You have to be able to grind some time off of the clock when you are in those situations.

The Falcons' defensive should be very strong, especially up front. The Falcons also have a very good running back in Fulton. Oh by the way, they will also get in the straight T some this year. I don't think the Tornado will ever go under center. (personally, I think this has cost the Tornado more than one state title) I don' t disagree at all with Richlands having a great offense and possibly one of the best in the state. However, I will take a balanced offense and a stout defensive unit any day of the week.

Kid from Honaker should have moved to Abingdon this year. The Falcons have the best shot at winning the state title from our area.
