Is anyone doing the weekly high school pick'em think like we have done the last couple of years? Just wondering since the season starts in 4 days....thanks!!!

Bottom line is VT tried numerous times to schedule a 1-for-1 deal with the Mighty Vols but were turned down every time....UT thinks they should get a 2-for-1 deal from VT...this isn't the 80's or 90's so screw that......if turning down numerous offers for a 1-for-1 isn't having no nuts then please tell me what it is ole mighty Vol?

Blacksburg at Giles but i'll keeping close tabs on the Richlands-Gate City game too...gotta keep up with our boy Mance and see how they do!

Giles look absolutely pathetic....if we don't get things in order in the next week we are in serious trouble this year....probably end up like last year if things don't change...and I mean kids attitudes and effort...there was NO effort on Giles part last night

If the kid comes to play we could be pretty good this year....But if he does like the last couple years and lays on the field 3-4 times a year then we will be what we were last year Average.....It's up to Robertson to decide if he wants to give it 100% or not....for the team and fans sake I hope he decides to tough it up a little this year

Yeah there are 2 Robertsons on Giles varsity...don't know much about the younger one but the older one has some talent but is very soft. Alot of time laying on the field during games...Kid has tons of talent but needs to get a little tougher....you sure you don't know the Robertson boys? LOL

CBurg isn't beating Salem this year PERIOD...they may talk that trash but they won't beat Salem...Pulaski lost a lot last year and all the trash talking their fans did last year to Salem will come back to bite them this year

Vic Hall grew 3 inches in the last year? WOW! I talked to him last year and i'm 6'0 and he was at least 3" shorter than me...If he has grown 3 inches in the last year that's unbelievable but you never know

Doug Fluite is in the NFL hall of fame? WOW that's news to me and i'm sure it's news to Doug also. Guess we will see if the 5'9 all world QB can do it this year huh Lance? Doubt he will be able to run only all 12 games but I guess since he's one of the greatest 20 HS QB's ever(LOL) I'm sure he will

Come on dude my boy from Giles had over 200 yards rushing against one if not the best run defense i've ever saw in "AA" or "A" in the state of Virginia ever....and if those 2 wouldn't have been called back easily over 300 yards... Does anyone know how many yards rushing Graham gave up that year total in the 10 regular season games? I know it wasn't alot. I heard somewhere that they didn't give up 100 yards rushing total in 10 games....that's hard to believe but if true just that much more special what my boy did that afternoon

All I am saying is he is not top 20 nationally no way on earth....Great High School QB yes he definately is no doubt about that either. But no way could I put him in the top 20 NATIONALLY EVER.... Yeah I guess UVA fans will find out soon enough how good a 5'9 QB will be playing in the ACC....All I heard last year was "Did you see what Vic Hall did to VT" and "He should have been QB all 4 years"....well correct me if i'm wrong but he didn't complete a pass against VT did he? And also good move by Groh to trick VT and stick him in with no warning.....Doubt that will happen again this year

I agree with you GMan after the first couple series it was ballgame. Graham definately had the better team and proved it on the field but my boy could well have been the best player on the field that day. But teams always beat single players.

Top 20 all time nationally? That's the funniest thing i've ever heard....great SINGLE A QB yes no doubt about that but top 20 all time NATIONALLY.....come on give me a break. And please don't compare his numbers either cause he played SINGLE A football

Im positive giles had 2 long runs called back but as I said Graham had the better TEAM...the running back was a heck of a football player but just didn't have the help that the Graham team had. Graham was a very good football team that year....a great defensive team but the Giles RB shredded them all day long. Just not enough help and the better team won the game

GMan I don't see any way on this earth that Pulaski battles for the D-4 crown. I went to the Pulaski-Salem game last year on senior night and they had about 25 seniors and alot of them were good players. I work with Pulaski people and most are smart football fans and they say they will be lucky to finish 5-5 this year with all the loses and their tough schedule this year...I hope they do tank this season after having to listen to them talk about how great they were last year and how nobody could beat them...guess amherst proved that wrong

Heck of a high school football team. My boy from Giles ran all over them in the first round that year...like 200+ yards and a couple long ones called back. But that's about all Giles had and Graham had a better "TEAM"...I enjoyed watching that Graham team play even though they beat my boys Giles

Well since Richlands has a Giles boy at the helm I will have to go with Richlands....my #2 high school football team LOL

Im a Giles fan and Libery IS NOT Division 1....1-AA is not the same thing. It's a step down from the VT,UVA and teams like that. Good for Ray though a scholly there is the same as a D-1 if I'm not mistaken everything is paid for and that's the main thing for him and his family....Congrats Mr Ray can't wait to watch you this year!

I agree 100% the coach is blamed for this loss....you bring your CLOSER in to start the 9th inning with a 1 run lead...you DO NOT wait till men are on 1st and 2nd then bring him in and assume he is going to get out of the inning with no runs scored....UVa did win Saturday so the rubber game on Sunday should be a good one....but if the coach makes the right decision then the Hoos would probably already be in the College World Series
