Well Kevin you don't buddy. And I'm sure he will fit right in at Gretna letting his players showboat all over the field like they always do. I just began to root harder against Gretna because of the tool they hired as head coach!

Do me and everyone here at Giles a favor and tell Coach Mance from us what a great job he has done this year and good luck to him and his Blues next week. Going to be tough going all the way to Brookville and pulling out a victory but everyone in Giles is behind Mance and the Blues.....Get a win this week so we will have something to look forward to next Saturday and that's another trip to Lynchburg to hopefully watch the Blues in the title game like we had the chance to see last year...even though it was a loss it was still great to see our friend coaching his step son in the biggest game of the year....Good luck Mance and the Blues community from Spartan land!!!

Yeah I agree with everything you said in the other post. Cody is a good kid and have a bright future ahead of him at Virginia Tech. Bottom line is ya'll beat us soundly like a drum plain and simple. As for Chilhowie and Floyd....Floyd has a very good team this year and I can't say who I think will win because both teams are very good. Luke Harris(QB and DB or safety) is one hell of a high school football player on both sides of the ball...he is a difference maker..Control him and Chilhowie has a good chance to win...But controlling him is easier said than done...being a Giles fan I sure am glad he is a senior LOL. Good luck to both teams..it should be a very good football game next Friday in Floyd....Damn ya'll bring that rowdy crowd with you and it definately isn't going to hurt you any...LOL! And once again thanks to you and all Chilhowie fans for being such gracious hosts tonight and have a safe trip to and from Floyd next Friday

Congrats Chilhowie you took my boys out to the woodshed tonight and dominated us the entire game. You have one heck of a football team and the better team definately won tonight. Plus you have some of the nicest fans I've ever ran across in my many years of watching Giles football...Class act all the way!! And congrats to Giles on another playoff appearance...and the coaching staff that put in many long hours this year and in my opinion did one heck of a job this year with low numbers and lack of talent compared to previous years. A playoff appearance with this team took a great job of coaching... Good luck Chilhowie and Floyd County...2 VERY good football teams this year!

Thanks for the help. Can't wait to make the trip down I-81 Friday evening. Always enjoy going to a new stadium to watch the Spartans. This is something different for us since we usually have home games but not this year oh well. Should be a good game between 2 good teams. Lets just hope it's an injury free game on both sides and all fans make it to and from the game in a safe manner also.

Do you know if the game will be Friday night or Saturday? I hope it's Friday since that's what high school football is all about. And also how do you get to the field from I-81? I think GW is locked in at #4 if Giles gets the #3 seed but if Radford gets in it looks close between those 2 for the #3 and #4 seeds....but I could be wrong because i'm sure you know more about it than I do since you put alot more time into it than I do. Let me know what the possibilties you have are when you know for sure...thanks!

#1 seed is Floyd County #2 seed is Chilhowie #3 seed is not yet determined #4 seed is Wytheville #3 seed comes down to Giles/Auburn and Floyd/Radford games Friday night. Giles gets #3 seed by beating Auburn and Floyd beating Radford Radford gets #3 seed by beating Floyd I don't think there is much chance Auburn beats Giles so it basically comes down to the Floyd-Radford game...Radford wins they are in as #3 seed.....or.....Floyd wins Giles gets in as #3 seed.... Giles fans rooting for Floyd???? WOW it's going to be hard but I'll root for Radford to lose rather than Floyd to win LOL!!!

Giles football program lost a the father of former players Ricky and Billy Cook last night to a heart attack. Also his daughter Brittany is a current member of the women's basketball team at Virginia Tech. Rick was a good guy and was 45 years old I believe...just way too young to go. Please say a prayer for the Giles community tonight while attending a high school football game because I know Rick would have been somewhere at a game tonight watching the sport he loved.

Giles fan here just wanting to wish Richlands and Mance good luck tomorrow. Bring another one home to the good people or Richlands. I will be there in my Giles gear tomorrow in Lynchburg to root on a friend of mine in Mance. Well hope everyone has a safe trip to and from Lynchburg and the Blues can pull out another one!

My WV friends were already making reservations to New Orleans so once I get to work Monday i'll be sure to remind them they aren't needed any longer LOL. That's why they play the game and don't play them on paper...simply incredible Pitt won that game but i'm very happy! GO PITT!

I agree it won't be that close. I saw them play Goochland and this team is LOADED and fast at EVERY position. Their LB's are about 5'6 each and weigh about 140lbs at the most but they are fast and tough as nails. Plus their coach is a prick so if they get ahead be prepared for them to run the score up on you. And they onside kick just about everytime no matter the score. I've saw both Gretna and GC play this year and I would say 55-12. But I really hope GC wins
