  1. Austin Fuller was tied for most catches on the team with for 37 yards. http://www.hokiesports.com/football/recaps/20100410aaa.html Nice to see local player representing at the highest level.
  2. Wasn't there a Matthews boy about 8 years ago who was really good?? He'd probably be in the starting 5 I think becasue he was a big guy
  3. It is my opinion that he won't start for the RHS football team for next season. He might get some mop up duty at qb, provide some depth at reciever, and will probably be a star baseball player this spring. So if you, and everyone else on here think he is the frontrunner then we will have to agree to disagree. We will know for sure next August. But based on his attitude so far in Richlands and the smack he is already talking to his old teamates, in my eyes he has earned the status of a "chump"
  4. Not trying to be funny, just stating my opinion. That's what this site is all about, if everyone didn't have an opinion there would be nothing to talk about. Anyway I was waiting on the Tazewell fans to post a reply, not you
  5. Vance was too valuable last year, and Cody was a solid offensive weapon thats why he started. Richlands always needs an athletic quarterback who can throw the ball, so Cody allowed Vance to focus on Defense. This coming year Vance will start over Lockhart because he is a much more athletic runner and playmaker. 3 yrs starting experience, Jack has started on Defense and thus a football player. He has all the experience he needs, now he is just ready to start making plays on offense like he has been on Defense. Pertaining to the Hess kid, I don't know anything about him. If he offers the athleticism at qb that Vance does, and that Lockhart lacks, then they may look to start him and isolate Jack to defense like last year. But between Vance and Lockhart I have no doubt in my mind that Vance will be asked to lead the offenese. Also another a lil tid bit. Jack has played with most of these guys since little leage. So he commands their respect and compliance far more than the new chump from Tazewell does. Can't wait to see the replies I get from this post =]
  6. Again, I have no knowledge about the baseball team so he will probably be one of the best pitchers. However, Cody Johnson (starting qb last year) graduated and imo wasn't even the best quarterback last year. Having seen and played against both Lockhart and Jack Vance, I know that Vance is a much better quarterback and if he gains some leadership ability in the huddle and off the field he is an all-region pick. Lockhart will be carrying the clipboard. Quote me on this if you want, write it down, whatever because come August 1st the job will already be won. And on top of the issues with the Johnson boys, I've also heard of some conduct problems Lockhart is already having at Richlands. Seems that he expects everyone to cater to him like they did in Tazewell.
  7. Lockhart isn't even going to be the best quarterback on Richlands' roster. If he even plays it will be because we want to rest our other kid because he is an awesome rover. I don't know about baseball, but I guess Lockhart would help Richlands, as far as the quarterback part I don't understand why we would go out of our way to recruit someone who can't even start for us haha. Regardless of what I say, Richlands will always be accused of recruting but the truth is no one from Richlands has to go anywhere or talk to anyone to get them to come. Our record over the past decade, along with our facilities and great coaching staff recruit themselves. Everybody dreams of being a winner!!!
  8. Here is one off of the Richlands site....kinda hard to see
  9. How bout some old school richlands Helmets? Like the R with Tornado superimposed on it.
  10. 19-14 Richlands.....INT Richlands (Tanner Smith) ball inside PV 20 1:05 to go in 4th
  11. I am not sure if anyone has been keeping track of the teams in the Roanoke area, but Hidden Valley is 2-0 behind the 600 (yes averaging 300 yards per game) yards rushing of David Williams. I watched them play at the scrimmages at Mitchell Stadium and was not terribly impressed by them, but after seeing how they have stomped Patrick Henry and William Byrd it definitely seems like they are a force to reckon with.
  12. I would not be so fast as to compare them to the 2006 team. That team was nothing short of flawless and went undefeated all through their off season 7 on 7's.
  13. It is sad that this county has citizens of that caliber. I have zero sympathy for whatever punishment they receive. On a side note though, Marcus Luttrell is a remakable man. I highly reccomend reading his book lone survivor for anyone who hasn't. It is a great story about real American Politics, The finest special forces combatants in the world, and the Heroism of a true leader Micheal Murphy.
