I'm really out of the loop, haven't spoken to Dewayne in years. Only catch a RV game every now and then. There's been so much go on and so many stories passed around that I'd rather not comment too much. Todd did seem to have the deck stacked against him, idk how much of that he brought on himself. Seems like a lot of dissension in the program, school, county. I dont think Lombardi could have gotten Ridgeview past Graham last season. That being said the Wolfpack should be loaded this season, most talented team in the region imo: future high level college players in Beavers and O'Quinn, as well as a host of other high quality players any team in the region would love to have. A big part of their success will depend on Stanley's staff (if he is the HC), too many changes could derail the season. I do think its accurate to say that the Rv program has lost a lot more games in its history that it should have.

I would imagine their 2nd option would be interested in Lebanon and that may be slowing things down, but that's just a guess. Between the two id pick Lebanon, Red over Orange every time! but seriously the Lebanon opening muddies things some. Seems like this is a record year for open jobs in SWVA, and more could come open

Is Northwood still open? Honaker did interviews a few weeks ago, don't know what the holdup is. Central did interviews this past week.

Nothing Union uses in any way other than color scheme is a copy of Chicago, but bears and Navy/Orange must be some kind of rule (e.g. Union, Bland, Grainger, etc) Abingdons script A is sharp. Centrals C is pretty plain, a lot of teams use that font but combine it with a nod to the school's mascot(I've seen hornets, spears, etc in the C). The number on one side, logo on the other is really common with college teams. The Lee logo isn't original, its a ripoff of UVA like just about every team in the state with a calvary connected mascot uses e.g. Lord Botetourt, R.E. Lee Staunton before the name change, Dinwiddie, Jefferson Forest, Carroll County, etc

I'm a big fan of arched writing or cursive like Tulsa uses. The M7 overall struggles with logos imo. Imo Tazewell isn't better than Marion, Graham and Richlands are. Battles is the same style as Richlands unless I'm mistaken but gor whatever reason it works better for Richlands.

Its kind of plain, and wouldn't work well as a helmet logo imo but is infinitely better than that thing Miami used lol

Then they shouldn't wear Black. I've never seen any of their uniforms with Royal Blue. Seems like their football team used grey some I'm not a fan of that either, wear your school colors

I always thought Black was a school color for MSHS but they just used it as trim only. Id have to agree with admin on that if its not a school color, the trend of black out everything is ridiculous. What's the point of school colors if were all trying to look the same?

the hurricane flags on black look great but I hate the gloss logos on flat helmets. I basically hate flat helmets all around

Thats a great idea! MUCH better than most hurricane logos, like the swirly Carolina uses or the horrible one Miami used for a few years

I just saw Gibson and thought it was Gibson from Rv, didn't even pay attention to Coach of the Year. So the only NET schools represented are West Ridge and Tennessee High?

I actually really like their logo but the helmets need to be a different color than the M/flag logo so it doesn't all run together. What else would you use to represent a hurricane?

Ridgeview did for 1 season, then year two the school board cut Wrestling and Choir to save money, Choir teacher was the wrestling coach(gotta be a first). Couldn't provide those programs to the kids and pay for the Superintendents Tahoe and clothing allowance, something had to give. As for GC I assume before McClung Winter was for the weight room, not wrestling

What does this look like, and why?

When they drop to 2A , I figure they will stay in the Three Rivers District. They're a good fit there geographically, better than the SWD anyway. The new Buchanan County high school will even up the Region 2D districts

Its 6 - 5, Abingdon is 3A and the 7th member of the Mountain 7. Its not really unbalanced
