yeah the rebels arent up to the level of haysi and honaker but are still a descent team and TV is pretty bad I say rebels by 5 TDs (good way to end the regular season before getting smacked)

VTFAN you did mention clintwood as a single A team to me that means you are saying they are A and lesser somehow than grundy,mabey its just me . TO those hurley people talking about Letcher I am confident we will be OK an example is Letcher Central played Shelbey Valley and beat them 28-20 Grundy also played SV and beat them 35-7 I think those scores are correct just judging by that I think we will be just fine. As far as their size I think that maybe part of the problem at hurley some of the rebels seem to think small means average and that big means good,not so LC is about the size as Abingdon and NO offense to falcon fans but they are not exactly dominating and JI Burton is small and very good. And as far as pulling for hurley to upset honaker never the BDD is ruled by the TIGERS RED or ORANGE, but I am pulling for tazewell next week my prediction Honaker by 4TDs GO TIGERS !!! OK whats the crap with people putting down A teams (VTFAN) PV,GC,Haysi,Honaker,and Clintwood can go toe to toe with any team in the SWD even richlands(Rlands might pull away in the 4th) outer than that I agree with what you said. About hurleys schedule lets all remember a couple of years ago hurley was a bottom feeder a time when 5-5 was a improved season, if hurley can take the next step I think the coaches will improve the schedule. But whats the point of getting blasted in every game? Let the boys compete then step it up.

hurley has talent and some speed but not enough of either the game will be won or lost at the LOS honakers line is too big/powerful/talanted for hurley expect the same result as when they played us

I was about to blast everyone from hurley and then I read the above post and I really am glad to see some people have sence and it is obvious that we are going to kick it short WE ALWAYS DO. So why didnt hurley move their best return man to that spot? Kicking to the deep backs is just giving the other team another chance to score so why not kick it short and let our D win the game? It is a shame that some IDIOT gets on here and makes everyone from hurley look bad sad really. And as far as red neck yes I am. None the less good luck to hurley. GO TIGERS!!!

the haysi gome wasnt as close as the score or apparently the radio made it seem but at the same time we didnt run away with it.Perdue is a very good QB who I think would start for any team in the Reg D, SWD or HD. But the problem is like beamerball said he is always running OK WRs and RBs average line big,but average, descent D(they have the abality to be a good team) as far as formations all I saw was I 3 wide,and split backs under center and shotgun in the second half mostly shotgun(they were down and had trouble blocking or DL) the lone score came on a swing pass to the RB( where the WR hit our OLB while he was "running his route" the pass was across the LOS so that is a penalty or so I thought)but I was very impressed with them not a great team but not bad

Josh will be in the backfield as much as hurleys rbs to the point that hurley will focus on him and open everyone else up. I dont know how hard it is to play at the cliff when hurley is good I have never seen a good rebel team(not trying to make anyone mad I have only kept up with BDD football for the last 7 years,not a glorious streach for hurley) but the cliff is a great home field advantage I mean its in the middle of nowhere(not a bad thing). The rebels always play hard and the game will be a test for haysi but I still say haysi by 4 TDs. GO TIGERS!!!

one question about hurley running the ball. who is capable of blocking josh yates w/o double or triple teaming him,and if they have to do that ryan jones and dave pigman will eat them alive(the tiger D is tough ask honaker they have speed and it was tough for them). just throwing out an idea but if GC goes 1-2 in their last 3 games could haysi slip in and take the 2 seed? Also it is refreshing for things to be this undecided and unpredictable at this point in the season( since 2000 it seems like there is always a clear favorite) this year I think all 3 D2 regional games will be great games. I personally would like to see Cwood in the playoffs its been a long time for such a good program.

what does size have to do with blocking? One of the best o linemen ive ever seen was 175lbs,and as far as the grundy D they may be a good bunch of guys but they arent that good. whats the deal with grundy are they young or is it just a bad year?
