  1. So much for a VT-WVU Gator Bowl . . . http://www2.tbo.com/content/2009/dec/01/011504/bowden-meeting-fsu-officials-about-future/news-breaking/ "Wetherell also confirmed to the Tallahassee Democrat that FSU will play West Virginia in the Jan. 1 Gator Bowl in Jacksonville."
  2. Well if Clempsun wins Saturday you will have another shot at them. But I would much rather see a VT WVU gator bowl, but thanks to Bobby that isn't going to happen. http://nolesports.tallahassee.com/article/20091201/FSU03/91201007/Times-Union-source--If-Bowden-retires--FSU-headed-to-Gator-Bowl
  3. VT represented the ACC well by losing? That doesn't make much/any sense People don't remember good outings or performances, they remember victories. And yes, I said that the SEC teams we played weren't that good, but we at least scheduled them and beat them, which is something nobody else in the ACC can say. I'm just trying to make the point that even though GT lost to a mediocre Uga team, nobody else in the conference has done anything at all to represent the ACC against the SEC either.
  4. And by my count Beamer is 3-9-1 (23% winning percentage) against the SEC during his time at VT. and in that time GT is 15-23 (39.4 winning percentage) So if you really want to talk about representing the conference against the SEC then go ahead, and yes I know that VT wasn't in the ACC for all of Beamer's tenure but he is 0-4 while in the ACC.
  5. VT has lost their last 4 games against SEC opponents. Just wanted to point that out And the only wins against SEC teams this year in the ACC came from GT. Yes they weren't the best teams, but nobody else in the conference managed a victory.
  6. http://www.ajc.com/sports/georgia-tech/tech-s-johnson-calls-174569.html Yeah, the block looks very low and dangerous . . . or not
  7. Shine? I don't think it is going to wear off anytime soon. At least it didn't at Georgia Southern (2 national titles in 5 years and 1 runner up) and it didn't at Navy given the players he had to work with.
  8. We are still using the athletes left over from the Chan era. Haven't really brought in anybody specifically besides Anthony Allen, and he was a transfer. And if the ACC teams get used to the option than CPJ will change it up a little. Just look at the difference between our first half and second half of offensive production, give that man some time and he will figure out a way to beat you.
  9. Only scoring 23 points on our Defense is a joke for VT's offense. We aren't that good at all on D, BS is a huge joke. I said last week y'all would have trouble stopping Nesbitt, and he won the game for GT. CPJ is one of the best coaches in college football right now. I think he has passed Beamer for best coach in the ACC right now.

  11. Did you watch either games? They should have lost to SC and LSU absolutely dominated that game but since their offense is absolutely awful it kept the score close. Jefferson is a joke at QB for LSU UGA could easily be 1-5 or even 0-6. They have squeaked out 3 wins that they just as easily could have lost.
  12. Worse defense in SEC and not a solid running game
  13. Yeah, we are playing GREAT this year on the offensive side of the ball. Haven't punted in 9 quarters + Nesbitt is absolutely unbelievable right now. Good luck containing him But because our defense is absolutely awful we have to score on almost every possession to have a chance.
  14. One of my friends at VT actually worked on this project for his Industrial Engineering senior design project.
  15. Def. Germany. I didn't see one hot girl in Spain the entire week I was there
  16. You can't really compare Forsyth and Gwinnett County. Two completely different areas with completely different amounts of money available.
  17. That game pissed me off. I thought Croatia had managed to pull it out. Turkey's goalie was amazing though. I almost got hit by a car in Munich after Turkey won their lost group match. Ridiculous how crazy they get, and this wasn't even in Turkey.
  18. Thriller dome went crazy when he threw that one down. It was crazy
  19. I thought we had it, and so did every other person in that gym. That could have jump started our season, but no.
  20. [ QUOTE ] Virginia Tech Sept. 8- lost to No. 2, LSU October 25- lost to No. 2, BC LSU October 13- lost to No. 17 Kentucky November 23- lost to UNRANKED Arkansas Check-mate. LSU was upset twice. Tech lost to two teams ranked higher than them. LSU has had two chances to hold their spot as a championship contender and didn't do it. You can't just discredit two upset losses because they seem like they are a pretty good team. It is completely subjective that they are even thought about as a national contender right now. End of story. It's funny that we are now combining a subjective aspect to picking who is going to be in the national championship. I agree. LSU has looked pretty good at times this year. But to put them in the nc just because they have looked pretty good and not take into account who they lost to? Simply wrong. So how about we just go with a completely subjective pick. There are no better teams than USC and LSU, right? So then why doesn't USC get a shot at the national title? They lost to Stanford. That's it. So while I sit here and think about this more, I can only wonder why objectivity doesn't apply to LSU. That's just me though. Obviously. [/ QUOTE ] VT isn't even in the same league ability wise as LSU. The SEC makes every other conference look like a pee-wee league.
  21. Georgia is the hottest team in the country. Stafford is playing amazing right now. I believe the keg incident settled him down a little bit. If UGA and LSU played today, UGA would beat them handily. But that is only because LSU is pretty injured right now. Like it or not, the top 6 teams in the SEC could probably beat just about every other conferences top team (maybe not USC). The SEC is on a completely different level than every other conference.
  22. [ QUOTE ] BREAKING NEWS!! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/ncaa/11/26/bc.fbc.duke.roof.ap/index.html Also, Chan Gailey is out of Georgia Tech. [/ QUOTE ] Most excitement I have seen on campus this year

  25. I believe the biggest disappointment from the game was that the elusive G-Man saw it necessary not to find me. That hurt haha jk
