Any thoughts on the two games tonight: Gate City vs. Honaker JJ Kelly vs. Rye Cove

[/ QUOTE ] I don't see what your problem with that statement is. If you saw the game then you know it is nothing but the truth. Truth hurts sometimes. The only way TV gets past GC is if Baldwin shows up, which he hasn't all year offensively. The Anderson kid is quicker and more experienced than Horne and Simpson will be facing a taller quicker defender as well. Honaker kept Baldwin out of the BOX for the most part (4-8ft. from hoop). If GC does this it will be a blow out. Baldwin must have a big offensive game. And he is very capable. Good luck TV!!

Anyone have the score of the TV-Hurley Varsity girls game...didn't see anything in the paper about it????

Was a very exciting game. Both teams made big runs. TV shot the ball very well, 9 made 3's. Honaker's size was just too much.

Was that a through the grapevine comment by Moore or an official statement made to the papers???

And neither one of those two teams can compete with Honaker or Twin Valley. TV-1 Honaker-2 Hurley-3 Haysi-4 Council-5 3-5 all are bad this year

LOL... Honaker is about 8 deep. That is as deeper than anyone in the BDD.

We will find out tonight as they travel to Region D favorite Castlewood. Should be an interesting matchup.

Didn't get a chance to make the game but from the looks of the score either Tazewell isn't as good as I thought or Council is much better than anticipated. Anyone go to the game. I am almost positive that Council played a zone and did not press, why did Tazewell struggle? Any thoughts.

Council is way down in boys and girls...In girls, they arent having an 8th grade or JV team. I saw their 8th grade boys last night. They are awful. They just dont have enough kids. Consolidation soon. Hurley has a girls team and new coach. They will be better, but still no competition.
