  1. This. I feel terrible for the players and, yes, even the replacement refs. Call or no call, missed review or not, these guys know that they aren't qualified to referee at this level and will probably admit that they have no business on an NFL field. D-III and NIAA is literally a step above a high school ref, am I right? The blame is to be placed solely on Roger Goodell's shoulders. He is taking a great product and making a mockery of it by cutting corners.
  2. Oh, and the biggest PLUS for the G-Men fans who can't make it to the game is the simple fact that you get the treat of listening to Jim Nelson call the game on the radio. By far and away the best radio commentator in the area.
  3. That's terrible news for the kid and great news for the G-Men. They still have a good bit of speed in their backfield though.
  4. Gonna be a tough one for the G-Men. Princeton, despite their record, has potential to be a good football team. They are probably the most physical team Graham will see this season outside of Richlands and they have comparable overall team speed to Bluefield. I'm not sure if he's healthy or not, but their RB Johnson is definitely the fastest kid in the area and arguably in the state of WV. If he gets loose no one will catch him. Graham better come out prepared because Princeton has the size and speed to give them problems if they let the Tigers hand around.

    Word is...

This isn't Russia. Is this Russia? This isn't Russia.
  6. Another Braves win and Medlen shutout. 21 straight wins when he takes the mound. He is absolutely dealing right now. 8-1 in 10 starts with a 0.74 ERA. I know he has no shot, but IMO he is Cy Young worthy. If he would've started in April and put up this kind of effort all season long then it would be a run away. He's by far the best pitcher in baseball right now.
  7. This. I read somewhere the other day that a lot of these polls consider an extremely large amount of the 18-25 year old population as liberal and include them in their numbers as so, but when it comes to Election Day much of this age group stays home and doesn't cast a vote. Many studies have shown that this demographic was the key to Obama's landslide victory in '08 because they came out in droves. We'll see if history repeats itself in a few short months.
  8. No not a WV board, I read it on the Rivals Main Board. I believe it was actually a FSU fan that mentioned it. I'll try to go back and find the exact quote and/or additional info for you but there are a million threads started every minute about the same topic so its like finding a needle in the haystack.
  9. It has to be, IMO. Not a chance in hell I would vote and/or not do anything in my power to increase the exit fee to $50 million if Notre Dame wouldn't commit fully to the ACC in all sports in the very near future.
  10. Agreed. Now spur the rumors of all the aforementioned schools jumping ship. VT/GT to the SEC and FSU/Clemson to B12. 3...2...1...
  11. Get out ASAP and end any and all types of aid to the Middle East (but before we leave we should set up video cameras so we can grab some popcorn and watch the shit show over there).
  12. I read secondhand info on another message board that 4 ACC schools voted against this and are pissed it happened. Those schools? VT, GT, Clemson, and FSU.
  13. Relax, no one was talking bad about Sheets. If your reading comprehension was a bit better then you would see that everyone in this thread was extremely complimentary of Sheets actually. He is the best player on Graham's team and moving him to the slot gets the ball in the best player's hands easily. He is too small to make a difference in the middle of the field. Get him on the outside and he's one of the best ATHLETES on the field as he's shown every game this season. Sheets is an ATHLETE not a QB. Nothing wrong with that if you use him correctly. I still see sour grapes about Baker torching you though. I'd be pissed too if I was a Graham fan. The kid made a decision regarding his future and it has paid off for him obviously. Richlands now has a serviceable QB that fits their system and Graham isn't hurting with Sheets. What's the problem?
  14. Crazy that it is. I'll always remember how serene it was that day a midst all the chaos. Something I'll never forget.
  15. The line opened at VT -12 and I'm not touching that.
  16. Damn, I didn't know y'all lost to both Bluefield and Graham in the same season.
  17. I thought Bluefield beat Richlands on a last second FG in '07? Did Graham stop the 33 game win streak in '06 maybe?
  18. That's what I was thinking too. Hard to believe that was in 2008.
  19. Who was the last team to beat Richlands during the regular season?
  20. Well, I know its officially football season, but things are looking OK for the Braves as of today... 7.0 game overall lead in the NL Wild Card Race 5.5 games back in the NL East 99.3% of making the playoffs 21 games above .500 Andletron Simmons is back in the lineup tonight and ready to go. The East may be out of reach at 5.5 games back, but a 3-game series win/sweep at home against the Nats this weekend could make things interesting. Couple in the fact that WAS has 3 games left against LAD and STL and 6 to play against Philly... and they aren't pitching Strasburg anymore. If the Braves win some games down the stretch we may be looking at a division title. Not holding my breath, but its still a little exciting to think about.
  21. I just looked it up and Tavon was 5* on Scout. http://maryland.scout.com/a.z?s=174&p=8&c=1&nid=2983126 But regardless, your 3 best offensive players this year (Smith, Austin, and Bailey) were all rated at least 4* by all the major recruiting sites. I'd settle for those guys over the 2* and 3* without egos.
  22. And wasn't Tavon Austin rated 5* on Scout? I know he was 4* on Rivals.
  23. This guy has panned out alright, IMO... http://rivals.yahoo.com/westvirginia/football/recruiting/player-Eugene-Smith-54297
