Grayson 589 last ADM count

Grayson almost exclusively 2 platoons....nice idea and concept but not sure it is feasible, think it hurts them at time as they do not have 22 "good" football players...probably more like 12-14

Grayson is so beat up they will have a hard time competing with anyone.....not sure if people realize how beat up they are. They have several key starters injured or out of commision...for several they may not make it back anytime soon

recipe for a blowout: 1-Very good Clintwood team vs. very average Grayson team 2-very motivated well coached team with a week to prepare 3- Grayson team is ripe with injuries right now it was quite simple last night.....Clintwood is alot better than Grayson

Excellent assesment....many areas need to be addressed and admin. is totally out of touch with the sports program

Grayson while having numbers is not an easy place to be a football caoch.....community likes football but is a rough fight verse the administration at all levels and other coaches in building who do not support football in the least. I think many of Grayson followers will be impressed when they travel to C-wood with a community that appreciates and supports their football program.

Not sure much decline in football program.....they won the MT Empire consistently from mid 1990's to- mid 2000's when it was probably the weakest football district in state and the were rarely competitive in out of district play. Best years for Grayson County were early 90's when consolidation between Fries/Independence produced some strong teams.

What has community done to improve situation.......they are the ones that ultimately have say in direction of program. There football facilities are terrible,they gut the stipends for coaches and have not made any capitol improvements in years. The football program has not been a priority for man,many years from the top down.

McPherson is only Coach employed by the High school......football is not a priority at Grayson by any stretch

Galax will be 6-4 7-3.....in addition to RB's returning return best lineman in Sizemore? no. 51 and the QB will be a pleasent surprise. Obviously lost way too much talent to go 10-0 but will be very competitive in Div. 1 play-offs for a couple of rounds. Look for Grayson iabout 5-5,6-4....lost some very good Seniors , will not last long in play-offs as competitive as Div. 2 is, if they avoid injury bug unlijke last year they could be a little better. Still think Fort is team to beat in MED and anxiuos to see Graham who improved later in season and have alot of returnerees

Not sure Grayson will have the stuff to even play with C Wood this year, they will be decent but big drop off from 2011, could be a long Sept. 14 for the boys from Independence

Carroll is a straight Wing T team.......usually base out of 1 back set. Run Trap, Jet form 1 back and belly and scissors from traditional two back Wing T.

Both have had success and Colley has seniority

yes .....good points and obviously Carroll will be fine but it is very difficult finding qualitiy assistants today

Carroll is taking a huge hit....i would go as far as saying he is most valuable member of that staff bar none. Carroll Little Lleague teams do not run Wing T.....they run a wide variety but there is absolutley not a uniformed look all the way down, some may have some very vague Wing T atttributes. As far as Galax ,Verl Brown has Coached football there for many,many years taking a year or two off with health concerns at one time. This was not a new thing for Dixon to incorporate. verl has been an integral part of that entire sports prgram for 25 plus.

How about marion to MED...that settles size discrepancy (Grayson,Fort,Graham) and travel is not bad at all to any of the MED schools

all except Bluefield,Princeton and Richlands look like potential wins.....key is potential

I believe you can go with shoulder pads....as far as full contact i would assume you would have to purchase the insurance plan for your school
