  1. Does anyone know who is over the youth league basketball program in the richlands area and any of the coaches maybe? Thanks so much
  2. L - Roy Christian - Richlands Its good to see Christian on this list I've been pushing this kid for three years now good to see him get some reconigtion. This kid does his job each and everytime we all know that the main job of a D-lineman is and this kid does the job. Also big props to Chuck Payne who made the list and all the other Richlands players
  3. How about that big Roy Christian 71 looks like him and Chuck Payne 44 did some great work out there.
  4. Yeah I really liked number 71 great preformance once again from this kid Roy Christian. I've been pushing this kid since before the start of the 06' season. Yeah I guess 71 hit Muncy so hard he bounced right off of him lol... then again I did see that 71 run a big fumble recovery back nice work. This was one of the best Tazewell - Richlands games I've seen in along time both teams really showed up to play. Both, defenses where hitting on all cylinders. Number 7 was a huge key to the tazewell game plan the blues really just didn't let him be the play maker that he has been this season. 70 Shaquille McDonald from Tazewell looks to be a really promising player in the future bulldog program that kid was ever where making plays for them I believe he's just a freshman or sophomore.
  5. The mountain in the field helped add many W's in the Richlands history nothing like running a sweep down hill. lol ... I remember back in the late 80's you couldn't see the other teams from the knee down when standing on the sidelines. lol ... I hate to see the old field gone; seems like it takes away from tradition of richlands football. Fake grass just seems to belong in the big city not, here in rural southwest Virginia.
  6. I have to go with richlands on the D-line because of Roy Christian this kid had got strength and good speed for a lineman little work on quickness and he could go far. On the Richlands line has to go with Taber Roberts I'm guessing he'll be center again to be such a little guy kids got some fire in him ...
  7. Mayor I think you might want to consider reaching out and grabbing up some other elected position. Years of excellence in the Raven and Doran community shows your well qualified to serve the people of Tazewell Co.
  8. http://www.kcchiefs.com/player/matt_mcglothlin/ Has made threw two of three K.C. Chiefs camps and a large cut of over 50 prospects. He is now on the Kansas City Chiefs website as being an active player... Good Luck to a local kid.
  9. McGlothlin was past-by for rookie camp and was asked to come to the mini-camp and summer-camp. Just two camps left to go threw... Good luck to a ol SWVA local
  10. oh no free weights ...not a good gym then ... I guess its back to take a class at the college and going up there
  11. oh yeah I'm sure there's someone better just not in this district
  12. Richlands will probably have the best Defensive line man with Pruett
  13. But Tim Krumrie the D-Line coach really wants him up there less than 10 mins after the draft was over he got the call and was faxed the contract just a few hours later... pretty good for a 5'11 3/4 310 kid from Southwest Virginia you might say Matt McGlothlin #68 DT/NG U of Tennessee Height– 5’ 11 3/4 †Weight - 300 lbs. Hometown – Pounding Mill, VA D.O.B. – 2/17/83 PRODAY RESULTS 3/21 at Tennessee 40 Time - 4.94 Short Shuttle – 4.40 Three Cones – 7.01 Bench Press – 37 Vertical – 25 1/2 Broad Jump – 8' 7" DURING POSITION DRILLS, WAS the player that THREW KC D-LINE Coach Tim KRUMRIE on the ground, was being Noted/tagged as being the “PIT-BULL†guy. o 3 YEAR LETTERMAN – PLAYED IN 36 Games o 2003 Voluntary AWARD Winner – NON-SCHOLARSHIP ATHLETE Contribution o Started 2 Games Freshman Year Matt was a walk-on at U of T in 2002 (redshirted) and through hard working, dedication and determination earned a spot on the Vol’s D-Line in 2003. When Matt put his mind to something he accomplishes it. Matt is a black belt in 4 different styles of Martial Arts, (Brazilian, Jiu-Jitsu, Karate & Hapkido) earning Brazilian BLACK BELT in 2 ½ years were it takes a normal person 10 years. Matt is a 3 – 4 NT/NG player, unfortunately at U of T he was stuck on a 4 -3 team, this all should change at the next level. Other opinions: Matt McGlothlin #68 NG/DT Tennessee he ran great, lifted GREAT and move great at his ProDay(see below). It was pretty impressive, just ask KC D-LINE Coach Tim Krumrie. He was trying to do hand and resistance drills with Matt and Matt threw him on the ground, Matt is a MEAN MAN that happens also to be a black belt in 4 different martial arts, can get your hands on him.
