  1. No nothing, and with playoffs here, think this will delay any potential candidates openly being considered until playoffs are over. I have a gut feeling on whom I think could be offered, but will see if it comes to fruition.
  2. They are the defending state champs from last year
  3. It has been a season of watching those who we expected to win, and those who we hoped would win. I have a half full glass today, happy for the Loris Lions as they play their first playoff game tonight against the Beaufort Eagles, and a sadness seeing my big Blue Tornado probably go 0-10 tonight. I heard a Christian artist say this last night and it was regarding a song she had written years ago. She was telling the background as to why she had written this song. In its lyric she said she had been through the "burning dessert, but looking ahead saw clear blue water and had come to far to turn back now." She said if we surrender, who do we surrender to and what do we surrender? As she spoke this I naturally thought about my Christian walk; this morning, in contemplation as well, how it can relate to the Blues and their program. We should never let a season, define our legacy, or detain/cease our walk. The trees lose their leaves in the fall, so we see what appears to be a lifeless tree, but it is only a dormant stage. When spring appears, the tree begins to blossom with life again. This is my hope and prayer for the Blues football program. There are deep roots and good soil, hopefully these roots will be inundated with the water of hope, and be cultivated by those who don't deny the setback of the program, but wait for spring and new life. Amen!!!
  4. At the half Aynor 6 Loris 35 Aynor on 3 back to back fumbles. The Lions turned each turnover into a TD
  5. I'm pulling for my big Blue Tornado team tonight. Bring home the W!!! For anyone who may want to watch the Loris Lions tonight playing Aynor, their game is the Friday Night Rivals game of week. Link below Aynor vs. Loris | Friday Night Rivals high school football game of the week | WPDE
  6. I'm hoping the Blues can come away with the win. Someone said the other day, 1969 was the last time the Blues were winless. 54 years ago. Dig deep. Can't let it happen.
  7. Glad you got to see Loris at their finest. Hopefully will be a similar game next week Aynor Go on the field and speak with Coach. I know he would be pleased.
  8. FINAL Rye Cove 28 Chilhowie 17 Chilhowie scores a TD as time expired on clock

  11. After 3 quarters Rye Cove 13 Chilhowie 3 Not following the game really close on camera, mainly ears glued to Loris game. RC does have size on Warriors. They have held RC in check for the 3rd qtr. RC is mainly moving the ball in large chunks.

  17. The Loris Lions game with Manning is being played tonight at 7:30 p.m. due to the impending weather. Lord willing, will be watching Giles/Tazewell and listening to Loris. The Loris link is tigerradio.com for anyone who may want to tune in.
  18. FINAL Loris Lions 31 Georgetown Bulldogs 7
  19. Where to start? I'm sadden to see the Blues season with no wins. I think the 2nd half at Tazewell broke their spirit. The season with Virginia High shows the Cats with improvement, but still work to do. The Blues team needs to prove they aren't cellar material. They need to dig deep within themselves and come away with a win Friday. It won't be an easy task. Task calls for a deep down effort, beyond what has transpired this season, and a reckoning of will to walk away with the win Friday night. GO BLUES!!!
  20. Clues on the seafloor (bismarcktribune.com) This is what our nation was built on...valor, sacrifice and honor. Anything else is inferior and cannot withstand the storms that come. A great read. I love history. It is the DNA of our nation. Some of its genes have grown in establishing this nation and its leadership to what a united people can be and do. Correcting injustice, giving of self so others can be free. Freedom is never seized; it's giving of one's self unconditionally. This story reflects this virtue. It calls the mediocre to be valiant, strive beyond your own goals and rest in the goodness of effort.
  21. After 3 Qtrs Waccamaw 3 Loris 42 Still no running clock until 42 point lead
