Yes I am. Pains me to talk about that game. I think it's a fabulous idea. The only reason hasn't happened yet is because his brother has been wearing for the last 4 years. TJ was a special kid that I am very proud to say I knew, coached , and loved. He was very unselfish on the football field, even when he could have been.

I think his willingness to sell out in blocking situations says more about him than anything. He is a very talented young man and I hope he is able to continue to play at the next level.

Let's not forget about today's athletes that specialize in one sport. I know a certain school that has a pretty good baseball program, but those kids don't play other sports. Small schools need to share athletes to be successful.

I saw the scrimmage...LB scored early and often

Great game. Tazewell couldn't stop abingdon and abingdon got a stop late. No excuses. Got to make plays when it's on the line. About the questionable hit, it was questionable. Period. Tazewell player was taken to hospital after helmet to helmet hit. They didn't call a penalty and head coach took up for his kid. That's how it should be. On a side note, have you ever heard winning team say " hey, we won, but we cheated!" Haha it just makes no sense to start of with fair and square. Looks guilty and trying to justify. Both teams have great potential and have some very good young talent. Good luck to both teams

Lots of schools let their baseball and softball players run in track meets when there aren't any games to have a conflict. Some of the fastest kids play other sports than track. I might be wrong, but I think that is what redtiger was saying.

Great post! Kids today are taught to go tell somebody about the bullying, or anything else for that matter. My dad would have wore me out for that when I was younger. I teach my kids to stay away from trouble, but when it gets down to it, they better stand up for themselves. You can't make it very far relying on somebody else to fix your problems. As a parent you want to protect your kids, but if you really want them to succeed, you have to let them handle things on their own and support them every step of the way.

LB had a huge win this weekend too. They are pretty excited up that way
