bdd takes all... boys and girls won..

if this was simply a BDD vs. SWD game.. BDD would absolutely dominate.. bucfan you need to set up an all BDD vs All SWD game.. bringin in kids like, Smith and Shortridge from TV.. the coopers and blankenship from hurley, davis and murphy from honaker, and travis viers from council and fleming from haysi.. those 8 along with the seniors.. would be ridiculous.. and this would finally answer who is the stronger district..

me 2.. i dont think the teams have been this close to being evenly matched since.. well i cant ever remember them being anywhere close to being evenly matched... (theres usually always been two teams that dominated the other 3) so it should be a good season to watch

i never said alcohol wouldnt kill a person.. i said when used properly it wont kill a person.. im pretty damn sure that drunk driving and binge drinking dont classify under proper usage...

im neither a drinker or a smoker, and dont promote either of the habits, but people who have problems due to alcohol.. have these problems because they abused alcohol... the proper use of alcohol wont kill a person.. tobacco is the only legal drug in the country that will kill its users even with proper use.. that could be part of the reason alcohol hasnt been affected by this yet..

i thought gary was senior too.. btw.. i love how the battle of the black diamond never dies.. even when the seasons over... but as bad as i hate to give honaker a compliment.. im gonna have to say i dont think they will be much affected by graduation this year.. like honakertigers3 says.. they only had one senior that mattered.. tyler brown, the center who transferred from VA High (for baseball i would suppose, since VA high is better than honaker in every other form of boys athletics) did absolutely nothing.. he was simply a placeholder.. and they will still have Ethan Davis who in my opinion is 2nd to only Hunter Simpson for best shooter in the district, when it comes to 3 pointers and perimeter shots... and if for some reason Chaz Miller decides to come back out and play again thats gonna help them out alot too.. so im gonna have to say (keep in my mind, its just a prediction and i could very well be wrong) that honaker and twin valley will, again, decide the district championship.. but remember tigers... its always gonna take MOORE than HART to win the BDD....

brad wooten is one of the best point guards in the state its ridiculous that him or henry hall didnt make at least 2nd team..

i agree with ya there.. i am a TV fan during the regular season.. but after that.. im a BDD fan.. i would have loved for council to be on the opposite side of brackett as twin valley.. that way they would have both had a shot at substate.. i also agree that hurley is gonna be the team to beat in the district in a few years (unless haysi and honaker has some jv godsends that i dont know about) but hurley still needs a little more speed on there side.. because after gary leaves, austin is going to be the only player left, with any speed, except maybe waynick (whom i didnt get to see play this year) and that slow style game can get you out of district, maybe even the first first round or two of region but after that you begin to play faster and faster teams.. im not sayin it cant be done.. but it wont be easy..

it may have ended up selling out.. but i know at the start of the race tickets were still available.. but you could be right..

some kids tried to start a gang here at twin valley not long ago... they had a member who was over 18 outside of school (which i find even more sad than the children in the gang) who bought them snuff and cigarettes which they sold in the high school.. they put the snuff in lil sandwich bags (similar to packaging used by real dealers with cocaine and marijuana) rather than selling it by the full can.. and sold the cigarettes individually... it resulted in one child being expelled from school after a death threat.. il admit that i thought this was funny.. but it turned out to be a bit worse than i thought...

yea resurfacing bristol along with changing the width and reducing the angle of banking ruined the racing there... i enjoy a trip to Lonesome Pine in Coeburn or Motor Mile in Radford.. much more than i do bristol anymore.. and you can't really diss these so-called preppy guys.. i mean if i had my choice all 43 drivers would be southern boys that were brought out of a holler somewhere... but those preppy drivers do have talent as much as i hate to say it.. kyle bush could be the greatest driver since Dale Earnhardt... Gordon and Johnson are pretty good drivers too.. im not a fan.. but nevertheless they are good drivers.. but back to the subject of bristol.. i was in attendance both saturday and sunday.. and i enjoyed the "Saturday Night Special" race with all the legends, such as Phil Parsons, CALE YARBOROUGH, JUNIOR JOHNSON, Rusty Wallace and others.. more than i enjoyed the cup race.. heck i enjoyed the Nationwide Series race more than i enjoyed the cup race.. id like to also point out.. this is the first race in 15 cup races thats didnt sell out.. that has to say something about how much the fans like the track

Thanks for the compliments.. i know how hard it is to compliment a rival school's team, let alone there fans hah.. and Lukes ankle should be healed by 4-11-09 if thats when the next senior games are.. alex vandyke graduated after the 2005 season.. so he wasnt on the team that made it to the state finals... but on the subject of which team was better.. im going to agree and say that 06 team was the best.. if there had been divsions in 2006.. that team would've have won state blindfolded.. because the only other D1 team in the tournament that year was twin springs and twin valley beat them pretty easily in the 2006 semis.. i also feel that if there had been divisions in 07 that twin valley would have won state also... but all in all 2006 was the better team.. and they also had Rick Goodman on there bench... and im pretty sure that can NEVER hurt...

Ahh i dont know what to say here.. tweeder is right on the aspect that hunter is the best all around player on the panthers squad, while smith does what he does and does it with perfection.. soo.. its all in the eye of the beholder here.. in my eyes hunter is the best simply because he's an all around player.. but i am not taking anything away from smith because he's the best at what he does which is the inside game with the put backs and rebounds.. which won alot of games for twin valley this year.. as did the outside shooting of hunter and horne.. but as ive said before.. its rather hard to find twin valleys best player.. cuz there all great.. and they play great together.. and thats why they've made a name for them self in the state of virginia

and they'll probably get it again next year.. correct me if im wrong but they only have one senior..

i had decided to lay-off posting for a while but i just couldnt resist here....this is the biggest load of crap i have seen in my life.. Hunter Simpson is 5 times the player justin hall is.. i agree with Tihlee being POY.. and agree with most guys (haven't seen all of them play) who made first team.. they should probably be there.. but theres a couple of guys who made 2nd team that could be replaced with better players.. and how in gods name does garrett horne who is the best D1 PG in the region, not even make honorable mention.. Congrats to Tihlee.. but you coaches are ridiculous!!

i dont know if they'll lose.. but its gonna be tough whoever they play in the final.. but we gotta win 2day first
