Looking at the teams how do you guys see it? Heres my order - 1. Chilhowie - still have that kid from marion. 2. George Wythe - always tough 3. Patrick Henry - know my rebels didn't win a game last year but feel Palmer is that good of a coach. 4. Rural Retreat - solid team 5. Holston - back to team of old 6. Northwood I think if the district ended up like that many people would be turning their heads because know one expects Chilhowie to topple GW. Except for me.

And what did the rebels do to your falcons this year in 8th grade? Won. You guys from abingdon have nothing to be proud of? Is it your goal to beat poor ole PH? How about you guys try to win you district? PH has suffered from bad coaching I hope this changes with the new guy.

Does anyone know what kind of offense he plans to use?

The day that happens will be the day the sun is darkened and the moon falls. Abingdon better be ready to compete with more than their district, think big things are going to happen at PH.

I think the spread offense can be good if the right coach installs it with basic rules. I haven't seen it ran great at PH but feel it does have alot of threats with it. I think it prepares our kids for the college level because of all the colleges running it. Like I said I've complained about it but do think it can be ran with the right coach and the kids that are coming up.

You dont understand, we don't want Palmer. I hope the man realizes that the parents up here are not interested in him. He's not the answer.

You guys from Abingdon better enjoy the off season because you want be talking like that during the season. So enjoy the off season because thats the only time you can have the last word.

I wish Compton the best. I feel he had good intentions but he just not a high school coach. I think he will do fine in college. We need someone that can get kids out and get them excited about football. We need a proven winner. I have someone in mind but will remain silent until he decides he wants to put in for the job.

Its my understanding that Compton did all the above.

You talk big, how do you get kids out to lift there Mr. Coach?

Myself and others have worked with the little rebels to improve on fundamentals so dont go there.

That transfer set PH back for years. We still haven't gotten over that. But have to agree with you on the Palmer thing. That has came up in talk over here. Like I said, there are some of us who are watching the hiring process to determine our son(s) future.

He did resign. I graduated from PH many, many years ago and I've seen coaches come and watched them go. I think the next hire is important and I just dont see Palmer being the one. Since the rumors started his name has came up in conversation and not too many good things came up. Like I said we need coach not here today, gone tomorrow type of guy. I have a future football player for ph, some of us are waiting to see who is hired before we send them to high school.

No the St. Paul coach, he has only won one the same as PH since Matlock has been hired. No he's not the answer.

Got a middle schooler who says Compton is staying and been working the kids out. If he left tho I dont they bring in a coach who cant beat Holston.

There is a former PH kid over there now trying to keep up with how he's doing or if he plays? He was a good lineman over here. I have family that taught him and said he was a good kid.

I was told he was going to back to Tazewell. I just know that PH football isn't the same.
