Congrats to senior Brittany Allen for making First Team All-State!!

"Change based on principle is progress. Constant change without principle becomes chaos." Changes? That's what wrong with the world today. People wanted changes and they got them. Go back and give the kids what they EARN. Not a doubt in my mind Caleb deserved POY. I'm not saying their can never be an exception to the format. But do you honestly think certain coaches don't call other coaches and strike a "deal" before the meeting? You vote for mine I vote for yours?? The chances of an athlete coming thru like Caleb is very rare, bringing politics into an All-Conference meeting is way more likely. It is no different than a beauty pageant.

Morgan Hall is a great player, great athlete and even better of a person. Here's my take on it and I don't really care if any agrees or disagrees. The old format in my opinion needs to be put back into place. If you win regular season conference you automatically get player of the year, 2 other first team picks, 2 second team picks. Second place team gets 2 first team picks and 2 second team picks, and so on. It takes all the political bs out of it. You have immature coaches that may vote against another teams player because you've beat them the last four years. Some people may say well that's not fair. If you truly have a Conference Player of the Year on your team they should win regular season. Plain and simple. This is not the ACC this is high school. A good player will make his or her teammates better. The other team will be so fucsed on that player it will open up opportunities for others. When other teams collapsed on Britt she dished off to others usually Sarah Compton for wide open layups. She was boxed n one almost every game. Sometimes coaches, players, and parents get to fixated on points. Britt was a great scorer but much of her game was overlooked. Papers always talked about her points and not enough about leading every game in assists and steals. Just my take but there again Morgan is a GREAT player and at the end of the day is all overhyped anyways.

No they are a very scrappy team but young. Lady Blues had a very sloppy game and didn't show up to play.

They may have lost some games but overall record is better than last years. Lebanon has a great team with a lot of talent, Twin Valley killed the lady blues last year twice as did Carroll county. We had many reasons for wanting a new coach. Would love to sit n "chat" face to face to fill you in since you seem so interested. I will even serve you some of the famous kool-aid. By the way....yes last year was a great year for the GIRLS winning region but no matter how bad they do this year it will never be as bad as his 0-24 season!!

We all know who you are and we find it very comical that you are posting these ridiculous comments to get a rouse out of everyone. Not one person got on the forum about them winning and congratulated them anyways so everyone go ahead and fall for this loosers tasteless tatics and state how the girls don't have a chance in hell of winning this weekend. The girls and true fans of the Lady Blues are aware of the competition they will be facing. This will not stop them from playing their hearts out just as they did against Patrick County. So this being said, girls congrats on winning the first ever regional championship in the history of Richlands. WE are proud of you guys!!!

I personally don't think hand check is as bad of a problem as a defensive player being allowed to ride someone to the point of pushing them out of bounds and reaching. I've seen more no calls on reaching this year. My question is if a defensive player completely comes across a ball handlers body and reaches in while having no contact causing the dribbler to loose control is that a foul?

Scoring points and winning is one thing, placing embarrassment on teams getting beat by 50 is another. Summers county is hands down better than any team they've so far faced. I don't think it would look near as bad on the coach if he would call off the press after they get up by 30 and play the entire bench. Its no fun when you are on the receiving end of it

If that's the case then sorry, my bad. I was told by what I thought was a pretty reliable source otherwise. BigD is right. We will be lucky to even be able to play tournament games this week let alone makeup games. So sick of snow.
