  1. Na, always helps to have luck on your side. Good luck to the Tigers, your up against a wall but show up and play ball and the cookie may crumble your way.
  2. Maybe im crazy but I for one think this will be a hard fought football game. I am taking Richlands but I think it will be close. This one could come down to who has the most turnovers. The Blues will get the W if they come ready to play and play to their capabilities.
  3. Whats the chance that Richlands will still be able to host Cave Spring if Cave wins there last game? (Didn't see Cave beating Cburg---shock to me)
  4. It would be wonderful to kick the $&*! out of the Falcons twice in one season.
  5. I think your going to see the first two games as last year 1st Martinsville if we win that one it will be Cave Spring. Don't understand why everyone is causing such a fuss, its the playoffs, it supposed to be tuff. Richlands has proven themselves year after year that they can win in the playoffs but this year is this year. Do I think we have the chance to be back in Lynchburg come Dec., YES I do, is there a chance we will face good competition in the playoffs and get beat, YES. With this football team getting better each week, having the coaching staff we do, and possibly having all playoff games at home, I think we can play with anyone as long as we stay healthy, focused and play smart football. For anyone who thinks otherwise is a nut, the playoffs will be very tuff and we will have to play great football starting with the first one.
  6. [ Abingdon at No. 2 Richlands Last meeting: Richlands 43, Abingdon 14 (Sept. 17, 2010 in Abingdon, Va.) With a balanced offense and physical defense, Richlands has methodically chopped through eight straight foes. Over the past four games, the Blues have averaged 47 points. …. After being slowed by an early-season knee injury, running back Devon Johnson has rushed for at least 111 yards in six straight games. … This will be the regular season home finale for Richlands, which has the only winning record in the SWD. … Abingdon continues to play solid defense. The Falcons simply have no punch on offense without injured running back Caleb Widner. Only four players have scored for the Falcons. … With his four field goals and booming punts, Mitchell Ludwig may be the top weapon for AHS. … Richlands rushed for just 76 yards against the Falcons last season but used a 27-point second quarter explosion to pull away. Jake Hess led AHS with 141 yards passing. …Richlands has won 36 of its past 37 SWD games, including 24 in a row. Prediction: Richlands 35, Abingdon 0 I think they may predicting the halftime score here.
  7. Dont worry you will have your chance to play our 2nd and 3rd string the second half maybe even the 2nd quarter. Man you guys are really going to hate us next season once you see the transfers we are getting from Flordia, Texas and California we really had to fork out the money for those guys and one of there favorite things was those deliciouse tacos..............................
  8. It seems at Tazewell (atleast what I have heard) you will have 15 to 20 freshmen coming in and when they are all senors there is only a few still playing, its hard to build a program like that, you are forever young never experienced.
  9. Your QB can only be as good as the line. Take for example Cody L. for Richlands last year. Looked like a very average QB at Tazewell put him at Richalnds and he looked great. If you don't have a good line and some WR's you will never know how good your QB really is. My OPINION of course.
  10. Can the birds fly in a tornado, Im thinking not.......... Im taking the Blues 49-7 with the halftime score being 42-0. Now that will be Nader Awesome!!!
  11. Thanks to Salem for the comeback win over Cave Spring, that makes the Blues even that much closer to hosting all possible playoff games. Granted CS could possibly have to lose 3 games but i don't see them getting by Cburg and going with my gut on this one I think Pulaski will take them to the wire.
  12. We win big games year in and year out and if im not mistaken we have won the BIG GAME this decade.
  13. I seen some bright spots with Pulaski personally, especially their second half play. One thing that stands out to me they played with Radford, Northside, and they took Magna Vista to the wire. If this team puts all 4 quarters together the could sneak up and bite someone.
  14. I feel confident we will be home throughout the playoffs. Cave still has to beat Salem, Cburg, Hidden Valley and Pulaski, it would not surprise me to see them lose 2 of those games. With 1 more loss I think we can get the homefield.
  15. What you guys think about this one? I feel that Richlands will get to play alot of youngsters next friday, Richlands 52 Marion 10.
  16. Always figured thats what you and Falconman do when you two were alone!!!!
  17. We handled Pulaski pretty well and they have played good games against Northside, Magna Vista and so on, so judging from that I think Richlands can play with any Roanoke area team that we may face in the playoffs. Everyone always harks on our schedule but last season we had single A teams on our schedule that gave us better games than Brookville.
  18. Granted I have not see Honaker play this season but I don't see them being better than Pulaski (eveon though Pulaski is 0-5). Maybe I am totally out of the water on this game but I think the Tigers may hang around alittle bit but don't see it being a nail bitter. We are young and inexperieced in the secondary and the Tigers may expose alittle of that tonight in the air but see Richlands walking out with a victory.
  19. That is what I hate about going to Honaker, the stands are so small they fill up by 6 or 6:30
  20. Battle of the unbeatens, watcha guys think about this one. Im going to take the Blues 38-10.
  21. My prediction is the Blues beat the Tigers by 4 or 5 touchdowns
  22. Between the Union game and last week, Richlands didn't even look like the same team. Something about game 4 year in and year out something clicks with the Blues.
  23. [ Patrick County (Stuart, VA) at Richlands (VA), 7:30pm [projection: Richlands (VA) 62-0] Won't end this way. Richlands will hit 40 and put backups in.
  24. Thoughts and Predictions? Not real sure what PC has this year so Im going to go on previous years, im taking the blues 42-14.
  25. Good football game blues. This team is starting to look like everyone knew they could. Year in and year out there is something about game 4 when everything seems to fall in place. Plenty to work on aswell, perfect 1st half and I feel got alittle to laxed in the second half, finish what you started.
