  1. It's not the Xbox.... I love mine. Anyone want to play hardcore team deathmatch on black ops let me know. Also up for Madden or NCAA football anytime also. Just let me know.
  2. I've got it preordered. We've been playing team deathmatch every night for about 3 weeks. If anyone wants to jump in a party to play, let me know and I'll send the invite. Xbox btw
  3. Andrew Luck > RG. The redskins are more talented than the colts. Lets not forget that the colts CLEANED HOUSE to start a rebuilding project. Noone thought they'd be anywhere close to 5-3 at this point. The Skins however...are in year 3 of the Shannahan project and are supposed to have one of the better defenses in the league..... rebuilt the reciever position, have very good TE's. I'm not a fan of either team.....infact I'm a Bills fan. You know, the team that payed 100 million dollars to Albert Haynesworth 2.0. (Mario Williams)
  4. I've seen Fort Chiswell.......Union is much more physical that Fort. Not just the Lineman, but their backs headhunt. I dont recall seeing a Union runningback taking a hit, as they tend to lower their shoulders. Also, Jake McCray can fly. I'm not sure Union can stop Graham on a consistant basis, but Union will hit paydirt early and often also. I can see this being one of those games where the last team with the ball wins.
  5. It'll live up to it. These teams are very well coached, play hard nosed defense and the coaches know what each other is thinking 3 plays ahead of time. lol I'm not going to make a prediction on the outcome because it could honestly go either way. If Cody Rogers isnt healthy though..... Battle wont be able to move the ball on offense. In that case, they'd have to come up with atleast 1 Defensive/Special teams TD. Should be a great game with turnovers/penalties being the deciding factor.
  6. They couldnt beat Virginia High. Thats no knock on VHS as they're a very good team. Just not anywhere close to the level Clintwood is on. Clintwood wins by 5 TD's
  7. Any idea where Battle will be and who they'll be playing?
  8. Battle 29 Lebanon 0. Congrats to Battle for winning the Clinch Mountain District championship. Prayers go out for Matt Chapman as he left the game with a broken leg.
  9. He's a great athlete. Those knee injuries are the only reason he wasnt the starting QB at the beginning of this season . It'd be a great way to finish his career in Madison.
  10. http://tricitiessports.com/dobynsbennetts-malik-foreman-commits-to-vanderbilt-p61609-1.htm Also, here is his highlight tapes http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1484830/#highlights/26518373
  11. If Marion loses....and the dawgs upset Richlands, then Tazewell would be the district champions because they'll have the head to head victory over Richlands. However, If Marion wins, then it's a freakin' mess. The easiest math is a Richlands win gives them the outright district title.
  12. Nah, it was 3 games in a row before slowing the pace down against Volunteer last week. They only scored in the 40's against them. lol Science Hill is good, they're passing game can give DB fits as that has been DB's biggest weakness the past few years. I just dont think they can play with DB on the Line of Scrimmage though. I'd say DB by 28. High scoring though....lets say 56-28
  13. I agree. I've always taught to aim at the bottom of the shoulder pads. 1-It'll take their breath if it's a solid hit....2) If you get under their shoulder pads, they're on skates. Either way though, couldnt do it over here across the state line.
  14. I'm not sure what the deal is. A ref told us in a game.....and then one of our assistants who coached with Harry Fry at Gate City told us we couldnt do it. With all of the concussion stuff, I just assumed that was the reason. I've coached in VA for the last four years, so it was the first I'd ever heard of it. I'm sure thats why the refs were calling it. BTW, Fleenor quit because he was benched after throwing a fit because Coach Turner wouldnt let him ride home from Sullivan Central with his girlfrield. lol Thats all you need to know about that. He wasnt ready to fill the big shoes left by Turner, Clark and Jessee. Just wasnt a leader.
  15. I'm telling you...I coach 8th grade football in Tennesee. I prefer throwing the "flipper" when blocking. This is my first year over here and tried to do some of it with our line. Was told that would couldnt do it. I was surprised also. BTW, Tom hadnt softened up when I played. A few kids quit (Josh Fleenor, Tony Galloway) because they couldnt get their way, and Tom benched them. My older brother also played for Tom from 1988-1991. A kid quitting or getting kicked off a team because they dont get their way.....is a whole lot different than a COACH quitting/making his players quit in a game. C'mon man. I'm telling you right now...I would've notifed him last night after the game that he was no longer needed......and so would any of the head coaches I've worked for or played for. You NEVER QUIT.
  16. Anyone taking in this game tonight? Expected between 10,000 - 12,000 fans so you'd better arrive early.
  17. I dont care if they had 500 yards in penalties....play through it. Wouldnt be the first time a team was beat by bad calls.....but you are the first to quit. I've also talked to a nuetral observer and said that Union was just flat out getting outplayed. They had turnovers, sacked 4 times, couldnt play special teams. The coach was frustrated and the blown whistle on the blocked XP put him over the edge. *Also, the coach should know the rules, the ball should have been blown dead....Also, you cant throw forearms (flippers) in TN anymore. It's a 15 yard personal foul. The refs were doing their jobs.....the coach apparently doesnt know his. Even if you are correct and the refs were 1 sided.....you never quit. In 3 years when Sullivan North is beating Union....this bunch is going to lay down. Attitude reflects leadership, sir. I think Travis will tell him to pack his bags.....I know for a fact that his dad would have.
  18. The Union Bears JV team played at Sullivan North this past week. North was beating the Bears 34-16 when Union blocked an extra point attempt. When the refs blew the ball dead (correct call) the Union coach walked onto the field and QUIT. Took his ball, his players and went home. Wow....way to teach your kids to face adversity head on. Guess when times get tough, just quit. Coaching JV football is not about wins/losses. http://modelcitysports.com/North.htm#UnionQuits
  19. As stated...I'm not a fan of Obama........ I even tried to vote for Romney. But how can I vote for someone that I want to punch in the face everytime I listen to them talk. I always vote.....until this year. This is the best we have?? With that being said....as a nuetral viewer, Obama won this debate just as handily as Romney won the first debate.
  20. We could argue all night..... I'm a democrat....but an unhappy one. I never wanted Obama 4 years ago as I was all in for Clinton. Now that we've had him for 4 years, he's failed to do most of what was promised. On the flip side...Romney is a joke. I'm not going into detail, because honestly...without being so biased..try listening to him talk. Enough said. Face it guys.....we're screwed either way. If this is the best 2 people that we have....we're in trouble.
  21. If Honaker was better than average....they would have beaten Battle by 40 points today. JSB drove the ball on the Honaker defense but 3 fumbles, 1 interception and a bad snap on a punt. The bad snap gave Honaker the ball on the 25 yardline which led to their last TD. Battle was without their best player, Cody Rogers, had 5 turnovers, playing at Honaker....and still almost won the game. The defense was on the field so long that Honaker's size finally wore down the trojans late in the game. Honaker is an above average team, wont be an easy out for anyone in the playoffs, especially if the game is at Honaker. But today, the trojans beat theirself. Dont take this as a bitter fan, just an honest observation. I sit on the Honaker side and their fans pretty much said the same thing but a win is a win. End of the day, Tigers got the win. Congrats and good luck moving forward.
  22. From a coaches view....the big camps are not to help the average High School athlete. The big camps at UT, Ohio State, Alabama and others...are nothing but recruiting tools. The top athletes get all the attention while the average kid pays big bucks to do cone drills. You're better off with places like this private speed/athletic performance center. You'll get much more for your money.
  23. Tyler Graham lasted 1 day at UVA-Wise. From kids on the team up there.....he realized he wasnt playing Thomas Walker anymore. He was a very good athlete.....expected much more out of him.
