Just dawned on me but the Phillies are only 5 games out of the final wild card. I don't think the other teams would like to face the Phils in the playoffs, pitching they say wins championships.

This year he is going into the WVA high school HOF. Did anyone here see him play and how good was he?

I'd like to have Joey Turner. He was a man then, now with weight lifting programs they have now OMG. Fastest and strongest man in the New River Dis. in the 70's. How great he would be now!

You need to come to Radford, vistors side is better than most Single A home sides. Radford has a really nice field but consessions (sp) suck.

Got to be Narrows, great field and the most loyal, friendly fans in the world. They open their arms and welcomes everybody to their town. GREAT place to play.

Not enough for JV team only have 9th and 8th grade team and not large numbers there

As much as this hurts me to say giles has a good chance to go far this year.

Schools in the NRV or should say towns since some or most are not school backed, have started middle school teams. We had our first team in Radford this year and had a really good turn out. Hope it continues because like said before 7th and 8th graders had nothing so i feel sure this would help any program.

Who are the best players in the area who are just to dang small to play D1 or2? William Minter is one from Radford, a real stud just to small.

Who's the top teams for the upcoming year? I still say Radford should be loaded again but they better finish this year!

Roanoke Times said today that Lancaster and Dan River plays at Salem Saturday. Everybody's pick for state championship game! Wish i could be there but have baseball game Saturday at Va. High.

Probably been said alot on here but here it goes again, should a school be allowed to win a state championship that can't win it's own conferance. Back in the day when money was not an issue only regular season and tournament champs went to playoffs now a team with a couple of wins can a win state, don't seem fair.

Have to say it was really cool having both the boys and girls as state champions.

I'M HERE. Radford couldn't throw a ball in the ocean last night standing on an aircraft carrier. Give Glenvar all the credit, did exactly what they needed to do and Radford didn't do anything right. refs did a great job so i have no excuses, we got beat and now it's baseball season!

will someone explain to me how Glenvar has to play at Floyd after beating them 2 out of 3 times and finishing 2nd in both regular season and dist. tournment?
