Yea I thought the QB for Marion did a pretty good job overall his receivers which looked like the same from last year for the most part didnt catch very well. Lebanon has some speed and their receivers are returns from last year and are pretty solid except for the one kid that came from Richlands and didnt play last year due to injury and he is playing TE his not very solid as far as catching. If they concentrate on passing to their receivers when they pass (which for Adams doesnt happen alot) they will be ok. Defense Pioneers have had to rebuild and move some returning players around so we will see. I was overall impressed with Marion not the same team as last year for sure I think they have improved! I just hope they all have a safe and injurless season!

Anyone else go to the Marion scrimmage? Marion didnt look too bad. The QB had some good passes he just needs some better receivers.

Looks like Lebanon had about 60 they have 13 Sr this year. Gate City had several but not alot of size but doesnt matter for Gate City!

Lebanon did lose a lot of Sr but they still have a lot of talented players but I am not sure how it will be. I heard that GC lost a lot and this may be a rebuilding year, but rebuilding for GC doesnt mean they wont be good!! One of the parents said they dont have a lot of size. I guess we will see... I hope Lebanon has a great season!

Well my son is an upcoming SR and I will tell you that a few years ago he slacked off in the weight room after working really hard to build up his size and ended up getting seriously hurt. If you do not work our properly you will end up getting hurt! As far as a coach saying you wont get to play if you dont show up how fair is it if you dont ever show up to summer work outs and you get to play over someone that has worked their butt off all spring and summer??? If the talent is the same. Football requires commitment if it is going to work and for you to be successful! My son has a job and he still works out everyday if he isnt in the weight room he is running. I wish everyone a safe and great football season!!! Cant wait til those Friday Night lights start!!! GOO RED!

Lebanon for what its worth has a few players returning but their line is pretty much gone except for Heckford! So its going to be a tough year! I am afraid. One bright spot is we do have the QB that filled in for Nick Smith in his injuries and he did pretty well and he will be a JR . I saw him in a 7 on 7 at Honaker and he looks like he has really filled out.

He did break his arm and has to have surgery. He is a great kid! He is a tuff one and I cant wait to watch him on the college level!

Are they having the Combine camp before the game? I heard they were having a camp for upcoming players?

THey are losing 2 but they have a heck of a back up too! I hope to see them do very well this year too!

So we have the all state team Single a now and all clinch mountain district what about all Region D has anyone seen that yet?

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!! Lance I hope you are doing better! Just a question.....Has anyone seen the all district Clinch mountain team come out? Or All Region D? I thought maybe with the snow and not getting the paper I had missed the annoucement. If any of you have seen it please let me know where I may find it.. Thanks

I think they are on Lebanon's schedule so that will be a non district match.

Well I hope Lebanon wins easily but for some reason Lebanon has been really struggling this year and the games they should win end up being tuff games. They do have a great QB and very good receivers if Adams would pass a little more. If we give Justin Adams the ball in the running game we will be fine, Belcher has the speed but has problems tearing through the line like Adams or Smith if Belcher gets that open field hes gone! Defense they are pretty solid most of the time as long as they play like a team! GOOOO PIONEERS!

I think you may want to talk to Coach Mance about all this! Because from what I understand you may be a little off! Yes Lebanon was loosing but ya know they have had a rough season, and on here everyone is going to take up for their team so it really doesnt matter the only thing that matters is what can be proven and I know and Coach Mance knows what is up!

Yes it was and I went home to see it but they are wide out and CB so they are outside so you really can only see what is going on in the center of the field with the broadcast. Believe me I tried! So that was no help!

I guess until the Coaches at the High school decide to report it they are not going to let any of us view it. But I can guarantee this as soon as I get the clip and it has been sent to VHSL or wherever it is supposed to go I will post it. I dont want anything to mess up that type of thing either. To start with I was asking on here if anyone had seen anything like this out of this player but cant exactly single the player out so that was why I even posted this I was trying to get an idea if this was the type of thing the kid was doing.

Well if you had seen the kids neck he didnt have an Adams apple anymore his neck was even with his chin. So dont tell me it didnt happen whatever happened the kid did go to the er and couldnt breath! So dont you say it didnt happen if you dont know either!

I know Lance! If it doesnt and they go upstate to play he may get a rude awakening! Cuz the kids around here are nothing like those kids that RIchlands will run into up there! They are talented but he may bite off more than he can chew if he tries it up there.

For once this is one thing I agree on I am sure he wasnt trying to kill anyone. I do know that they are getting the tape together to send it to the Coach at Richlands. So it is in the right hands now!

Well you are right about the game being what it is. And not everyone needs to be playing the sport or any other for that matter. That being said from what I just was told the kid has been somewhat dealt with by the coaches. The kids are ok and I just hope they both have an awesome season. So that is that! Have a good one!
