I was there and NO, that never happened! We got beat by a better team. Richlands had a lot of injuries, but even if everyone had been healthy, LB would have won. They are for real this year. And the RB they had, looked like D1 material.

If Union's coach said after the Clintwood game we gave it too them, I would say he might want to retract that statement and say that he cost his team! Going for a 4th and 1 at their own 14 yard line in the 2nd quarter makes no sense, if it had been in the 4th qtr and his team trailing, you might understand it. Anyway, Union is always a tough game. I think it will depend on if we can tackle this week, we gave up a lot of yards to GC last week from missed tackles. And unlike last year vs Union we have to maintain drives and hold on to the ball, and not commit over 100 yards in penalties. If we do these things, we can win, but it probably will come down to the 4th quarter just like the last 2 years.

Imagine if Mance did leave, I'm betting ALL teams from Tazewell, Smyth, Russell, Buchanan, Wise, Washington & Scott counties would be celebrating.

Any Richlands fan that thinks Mance should go, you obviously know nothing about football. Show me another AA team in this area that has gone 101-16 in the last 9 years? And by my math, we are 15-8 against teams from The Pulaski/Roanoke/Lynchburg area since 2004. Competition is alot tougher in those areas, they play strong teams most every week, and it does help come playoff time. We got beat by a better team Friday, it's that simple. Yea if our QB hadn't got hurt earlier in the year, and if we had a certain WR/DB/return man that didn't lose his cool 2 weeks ago, maybe it would have been different, but injuries happens to everybody. I disagree. He has the size and the mobility the NFL wants. I still see him going in the first round. I think with losing 4 lineman and pretty much his top 3 receivers and dont forget losing the running game with David Wilson, i think alot of GMs will overlook his numbers this year. I hope he stays, but i guess money talks the loudest. And yes, right now he should be worried about BC and UVA. Right now, personally it will be a struggle to beat BC up there.

I may be wrong, but I think even with only 8 scholarship players, were gonna be good. The Hokies have a good starting 5, Not 23 wins good, but 18 to 20 wins is possible. Well then, since Brookville has already won the state, wish someone would call the VHSL and cancel the playoffs. I agree, Brookville looks unbeatable, but that's why they play them. Brookville and then junior Logan Thomas was suppost to beat us pretty easy in 2007, we won 24-14. In 2010 most thought again our run was over, but we left Brookville 44-7 winners. Oh yea, I'm not gonna bring up the 2008 game, lol

Dude, did you read what the tazewell players were posting on Facebook and Twitter? Seriously? The refs were Horrible. Yea, and the remark about getting better, yea Tazewell fans said the same thing after 2008. You know, the thing is most Richlands fans want Graham and other area teams to do well, it looks good for all of us.

Richlands has played their JV guys probably more than anyone over the last 8 years, and alot of that vs the Bulldogs. We can't play the 8th grade, so what else are the coaches to do. We played PV in 2010 and was up 42-0 starting the 2nd qtr. the JV team played the remaining 3 quarters, out of respect to Coach Robbins who was retiring. We won 42-20. We could have put up 100, but didn't.

Well my 2 cents worth, and I'm wrong alot, but Tazewell fans and players were taunting our guys the entire game. I was told by players, the fans were cussing and name calling our guys on that side. And the signs of AJ's head drawn on it? Come on, they were trying to get our guys to do something stupid, and apparently it worked. The sign alone, to me meant they were gonna head hunt.

Absolutely wrong! The cave spring head coach and one of his assistants were sitting in front of us, and they said it was the wrong call.
