Roy Williams is now going after Wiggins hard. My bet is he ends up a Tarheel next year. The Heels need someone like him to have a chance against Duke and Jabari Parker.

I have heard that Haysi is going to be good this year. As for Castlewood, they return 2 very good guards Austin and Edmonds. The question for them will be their inside play and if they can develop that then they could make a run at the region D1 title again. I heard TS is going to be down this year and as far as I know they don't have a foreign recruit to help carry the load. I look for Eastside to be pretty good as well and the Cumberland could come down to them and Castlewood.

Eastside by 20+ I predict. We will see!

Well the finals were at UVA Wise on Saturday. On to states now!

107.3 will probably carry Castlewood / Twin Springs.

Maybe someone can help shed some light on this. Let's suppose Hurley and TS win the district tourneys and tie based on points. Here are the tie-breakers. 1. Head to head - this doesn't apply because the 2 teams haven't played. 2. Winning percentage v. common opponents - both would be at 100% 3. Winning percentage in games vs. all Region D Tournament qualifiers - this is what I am not sure about. Is this broken down by division? If so then Hurley would get this tie-breaker because they haven't lost to a D1 team and TS lost to Castlewood. If it is not broken down by division then I think TS would get this tiebreaker because Hurley lost to Gate City and TS has played more region D opponents and therefore their winning percentage would be higher. So does anyone know if tie-breaker 3 pertains to all of region D or just your division?

For Hurley to get the #1 seed then TS needs to lose to Castlewood tonight in the playoff game or in the district tournament. That is assuming Hurley goes on to win the district tourney themselves. Regardless of whether Hurley is the #1 seed or not I don't see them losing in regions.

Everyone makes it to regionals bro! :D I've heard mixed reviews on Doug and he's still got a lot to prove in my opinion. Things are starting to look up for Castlewood though!

Twin Springs is undefeated no more. They lost at Castlewood last night 44-40 in a great game! Castlewood is coming together and starting to play to their potential. Both teams could be factors come playoff time.

I look for Union to be the team to beat in the LPD with Central giving them a run for their money. Castlewood is the odds on favorite to take the Cumberland but Twin Springs could steal the show if this year's recruit gives them a big shot in the arm.

Castlewood picks up Edmonds and Hileman from St Paul which will make them a lot better than last year. I see the starting five being Austin, Hileman, Edmonds, Kennedy, and Jessee. Kennedy and Jessee give them size inside and the other 3 are talented guards so they should have a well balanced team. They have several good shooters on the team. They will also have a lot of depth on the bench. I think the difference between them and Hurley is that Hurley is a little more talented at every position but I think Castlewood might can give them a good challenge if the two teams face.

I look for Hurley, Castlewood, and Twin Springs to be the top contenders in the region with Hurley the heavy favorite.

Castlewood is in the VA High tourney too. I would like to see them play Hurley to see how they match up. Hope it works out so the 2 can play!

Not sure I agree completely... I would put Rasnick over him carrying and I think Kennedy is the better receiver. Regardless Edmonds is right there with both of them and is probably the better all around player.

It will hurt both the running game and the air attack as he both runs the ball and plays receiver a lot. It will allow grundy to put more pressure on some of the other playmakers.
