OK , I sort of thought that from what I had read on here about Central, but I hate to jump to conclusions about teams that I haven't saw in person.

Is Central considered "on the same level" as Gate City?? Not trying to cause trouble I just haven't gotten to see Central so I have no idea.

haha "In Defense" of the other poster it was a Wave fan that called out Richlands specifically and said they were a better team, so to fall back on the old they are a AA team excuse really doesnt mean much when one of your own is the one that called it, I havent saw where the first Richlands fan in this thread started talking bad about Clintwood.All that said best of luck to all the area teams once the playoffs start as far as Im concerned.. even the cantankerous ones.

I see Marion by 10-14 points or so,they say abingdons defense is supposed to be good but I only have one game that I actually saw them and everyone knows how that went.

While "the poster" does seem to look down on the other good teams in the area, I would honestly like to see more of the best teams from the area playing each other, not only would it make for good conversation on here, it would help the teams also I think playing better competition, but it has yet to happen on the whole.

It's a damn shame they won't get their chance for you to find out :rolleyes:

I guess I just miss the old days of the SWD GMan where there was good competition within it and the teams competed well outside of the district as well. Sort of sad to see but the SWD as it used to be is gone and with the realignment talk seems it will remain history, but everything changes I guess.I can't see much of a reason to keep bagging on a couple of the teams in the SWD tho as their problems have been discussed all season long.

Grats to the G-Men on their win, seems they are headed upwards and it is nice to see the area teams representing themselves well.Not sure about the playoff picture for them but I would think if they can make the playoffs will be a big and well deserved step for them.

The SWD is down for sure this year, but I would still put their best team against whatever your districts best team is and see how that turns out for ya.;)

I have heard rumors about this for the last week or so, I have also heard a couple more that lead me to believe that , even tho Tazewell may want to forfeit, that probably isn't a real option for them. I do agree however that you have agreed to play the game , go out there and play the damn game and get it over with, I keep hearing about the new coach being a strict coach and such and I find it hard to believe it could show his kids anything but how to lie down and be a quitter when/if you start forfeiting games outright. I will seriously lose ALL respect for that program if they really do end up forfeiting and simply refuse to play.

I love it, back to the usual thing where people start doubting Richlands as playoff time gets near. I think the boys play better from the underdog role anyways so I'm glad to see people are picking against them this year again!

Well, I thought he held in there pretty good, obviously it was a tough game for them all the way around, but it seemed to be that had much more pressing things to worry about than his play.

well.. I honestly don't think it will be either team by 20, but everyone has their opinion.

Been hearing rumors for a while but hadn't saw a list of the actual teams that may end up in a district together so I think it's very interesting. I like what I see with the teams tho, and to resist the idea that big changes are coming doesn't make sense, Guess we'll all have to see exactly how it pans out but it should make for some good games down the road.

A lot of interesting opinions, I think there is going to be a ton of talent on the field.You have to have a ton of respect for both teams, I can't imagine some of the hits that will happen as both of the d's have the big hitters.Been a while since I been this excited about a game, now all I got to do is wait 2 weeks :(

I know the game is a couple weeks away and there probably aren't very many fans on this forum of either team, but it will/should have a huge impact on the nc picture overall this year, so how do you guys see the game going? Im a Bama fan so I hope they pull it out, but honestly I can see it going either way as I feel they are the 2 best teams atm in the country.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I am just glad that playoff football is almost here and it all will be settled on the field, the regular season has seemed a foregone conclusion for a while now anyhows.

Being a Bama fan I will take the SEC every year :) I do like Tech however but in football I dont think the ACC is in the same league talent wise overall.

He may very well be the best, I didnt mean to understate him but as I reread my post it does sort of read that way, either way tho they are both very good linemen.

Never is a long time Bulldog, but it certainly doesn't look like it is going to be anytime real soon.
