Many white hats have been in the same situation with Union and haven’t flagged it...he was wrong. By that interpretation, the offense would be penalized anytime someone jumped offside due to any of the following: a TE or WR shift, a back shift, or a QB going into shotgun from under center...just for starters. Clearly a blown call.
That's o.k. because Va High's tournament for both the boy's and girl's has been terrible the last few years. The teams in it are really bad.
Cannot disagree there but following Christmas, besides the Arby's/Fort Chiswell tourney, what tournament is there? I think Abingdon is the only Region D team playing at Fort. Just many many option post Christmas which helps the UVAW tourney I suppose.
Abingdon beat Rye Cove tonight 44-14 in Clinchport.
Was that a regular season game? Baffling... Rye Cove has maybe 200 kids in their school while Abingdon has 1000. You'd think Abingdon would be in NETN looking for teams to play to prepare for teams they might see in February.
Lusk won more games at Bluefield this year than the previous 5 years combined......
I'll give credit where credit is due. He did have a successful stint at Bluefield this past year but his tenure at UVAW was disastrous. He had the talent too.
I am going to be that guy... compare the Union/Graham game and Union/Richlands game. At the end of the season if Richlands and Graham was playing for the state championship who would win? Pure speculation, but seeing as how Richlands progressed and visibly Graham regressed is what I am referring to by who was the better team at the end of the season.

I’ve known John and his family for more than 30 years. One doesn’t typically coach and direct the athletics department at the junior college level for a dozen years without having talent for the craft.

I will agree, Grayson has been better than they have in years past but I also witnessed your coach literally lose his mind in a few games/stop coaching. He might be a good coach at times but a great coach does not have the temper tantrums this guy did. Like I literally watched him go bonkers in the first half at his players and refs. He got T'd up and literally sat down and did not say a work for a quarter and a half. Wild!
How do they usually run the dunk context/semi final games? Do they clear the arena and then let people come back in or is it a free for all from the beginning of the day?
I think you should quit worrying about it and let Coach Tester enjoy the body of work his staff and himself had this year. The kids played there hearts out and enjoyed a lot of success. Great season for these young men. What he does is none of your concern.
