I could understand that, if he is not throwing to commercial or throwing out a sponsors name that is...
-
I'm telling you, the refs in this game (just judging from Ron Brown's reporting) sound absolutely pitiful in this Union/Richlands game.
-
Got to catch this game, Grundy played alright, but the field was god awful. Even the refs couldn't get around that field. Every time that ball hit the mud/grass it would just make a thud in the mud. Truly was a mud bowl. But, Grundy will be something in the next couple of years, I keep hearing that their team is really young this year.

What happened? The VHSL got a gag order on all of you? Post 'em!
-
Hey, could you post that vid if possible? Would love to see that, had to leave at the end of the 2OT to head to work.
-
So, is this over with already? Damn, I was just getting into it, can the bickering go on for about 10-15 more pages?
-
Well, damn, the wheels on this thread graudially fell off over the course of ten pages. lol. I am taking Richlands in this game, I will be on the sidelines rooting that way, but VA High may come in determined and take this ball game. Just don't want the blues coming in with their head so full of air because of all the praise the last couple of weeks has got them.
-
I knew I would be in for a good thread when VA High won, but Jethro is knocking it out of the park this week.
-
Anyone hear anything about who Richlands will have in the playoffs?
-
There were a couple of fouls, celebrations and some pushing after the whistle this go around but no fighting.
-
I say they will have some "cheap seats" for this as they will want to fill out the stadium to break the attendence record. I am there either way.
-
Now, correct me if I am wrong here, but isn't Fort Chiswell #1 in Single A and Galax #2 in 2-A.
-
I was too far away to see both, but I agree with the "pass vs fumble". I even told the people I was standing with that it looked like a forward pass to me.
-
Richlands was without a starting running back, both tackles, a quarterback (technically), plus Frank was hurt and Zeke got hurt half way through, so I was say injuries were all around. Tazewell played a HELL of a ball game and should have won that ball game by 6, but Richlands captialized on those turnover and the very few mistakes that Tazewell made. Hopefully this week off should help the boys get ready for the final three game push to the post season. I think the big thing that hurt Tazewell and call me crazy here, but trying the onside every time they kicked off, they had Richlands beat on yards the entire game, but that is only because they squibed it every time. As for ref goes, you will get all the compliants and I get that, but for every call on Richlands and Tazewell, I could see a reason for. Unfortunately, them rambling around the field was not wanted though, I guess they wanted to look like they didn't know what they were doing.
-
I would rather have Colton over Griffin, but I also said I would rather have Devon Johnson over Colton. Still taking the Blues to win by 14+, would never and can never pick for Tazewell! :P Should be a fun game nonetheless. Tazewell knows Richlands is down, so this will only improve the hopes and chances for Tazewell.

They had a rough time about it for a little bit, but as Jethro would have said, "The fat lineman" of Richlands ended up containing him. :P But, congrats on beating the former State Champs. Very big win.
-
Very good ball game, hard fought on both sides. Virginia High had all the reason in the world to win that game. Richlands was terrible in the red zone, they should have had 21 or 28 more points on the night.
-
I certainly don't see it as taking pride, even if it did come of that way, BigKid, nor are we trying to be a negative distraction. We have pride in the Big Blues, that is why we are so vocal when the awful desicions are being put out there. And I certainly don't see it as being 'cool' either Raven. I see it as we want better from them, and we voice our displeasure.
Also, we are gonna miss ya at the game again, Bigrhsfan. We hope to see ya soon. Get better, man.
-
I must say I am a fan, Jethro. The way your troll like banter just oozes out of your EF-5 vocal cords pleases me more than anything. But, I must say, your hate for the EF-1 Tornadoes does put me in a downwinded mood, no pun intended. What is with this morose feeling of dismay against the Blue Tornadoes?
-
I would say they will be having some rough practices this week, so my prediction is a motivated Richlands comes in and wins by a small margain, they like to keep us people that stand at the 10 yard line chipper and chatty through out, but don't want to get 'verbal bashed' by the 'no respect' crew in the endzone like they did last week. I think Strong is still pissed at us, he wouldn't even come down the sideline last time. Hey Ryan! You should come down and join us down there and get rowdy. :P
-
I would guess its some made up sport like soccer. :P
