BigBlue02 11 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 the airport would be one big mess after it rained. I think the Richlands mall parking lot would be perfect no one uses it and that lousy carni was set up there one year.
bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 I'm amaized how fast they can set up everything, i mean one day when i was in middle school. that morning when i went by it only the pirate ship was up. Then when school was out and i went by it again everything was it. There very quick carnies!

bluekick 11 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 There was talk of putting an industrial park where the old airport used to be. That could be why they're digging it up.
Blues_82 10 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 Well what was the deal with the Richlands Mall...i heard that Home Depot bought the entire lot including McDonalds? Anybody else hear that?
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 They've only been talking about developing the airport property for about 20 years. The problem is it's too flood prone.
cityofRaven 2,452 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 yeah i live down here and it floods every time somebody takes a good pee in the clinch

hhstigerfan 12 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 haha, it will probably end up like Lowes and move into 3 different buildings within the space of like 12 years.
BigBlue02 11 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 hey now dont talk about Lowe's. I work there although i just started I like the new store but the old one beside walmart was great becausse I knew where everything was in there.
Blues_82 10 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 i guess its about time to build a new Lowes now lol...how longs it been a year, they better get on it
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 Well don't get too comfortable in the new building, they'll build another one in a few years. They did the same thing in Richmond. At their current location in Chester, VA they bought a trailor park and evicted all the residents so they could build a new to store to replace the 5 year old store a 1/4 mile down the street. BigBlue02 11 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 I think our problem as a corporation is they change the layout of the stores to fast, and they expand the stores to fast. I would have been happy working at the old one but I like the indoor lumber yard your at least out of the elements.
OFISHBB 10 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 I saw a carney using Hugh Cookes car wash taking a bath one time. That was a hoot one carney would use the wand while the other one would take a bath. It helps cooke keep the car wash going.

BigBlue02 11 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 I was reading in the richlands paper that they are going to start doing some renvations to the old mall. The incubator is going to put businesses in there again. I hope all the old 92 state stuff is there. When they closed that down they needed to move all that stuff to the lobby @ the highschool
cityofRaven 2,452 Report Share Posted May 25, 2005 yeah that was some cool stuff, maybe they could put the 04 stuff under it
