spike83 10 Report Share Posted September 12, 2005 I dont know, seems that texas applied pressure when it was most needed near the end of the game. The only real coaching errors I saw came from the OSU side of the ball. Look for texas to be in the rose bowl this year.
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted September 12, 2005 [ QUOTE ] Look for texas to be in the rose bowl this year. [/ QUOTE ] I don't know, I'm not sure Texas can score enough tickets for the whole team to see the Hokies and Trojans play in person. Maybe they should just rent a big screen. Bluefield_Rules 46 Author Report Share Posted September 12, 2005 Texas is the always the best team in the country according to their fans, and they always fall on their face against Oklahoma or someone else. Texas is a LOT like Michigan, underachievers.
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted September 12, 2005 USC will not lose to Notre Dame. Tech has 5 tailbacks good enough to start, they're 6 deep at WR, and I'll put the Hokie defense up against anyone. We'll see who has the better QB when January rolls around.
beano5 14 Report Share Posted September 12, 2005 hmmm.....thats why i have talked to fans of all kinds and said they have the hardest schedule and they are the best team in the league....

BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted September 12, 2005 Texas has two ranked teams on their remaining schedule, #19 Texas Tech and #21 Oklahoma. Virginia Tech has four ranked teams on their remaining schedule, #16 Georgia Tech, #17 Boston College, #13 Miami, and #25 Virginia. In addition, Tech could meet current #8 Florida State in the ACC Championship. Looking at the two schedules, it's very possible Tech could jump Texas if both are unbeaten at the end of the year. Tech has by far the stronger schedule.
beano5 14 Report Share Posted September 13, 2005 but its the unranked teams that count...Oklahoma State AT OK State....Kansas...and Texas A&M.....Tech has Marshall (no offense of Marshall but they wont put up much of a fight)...Ohio...yeah they are good..haha...Maryland....UNC....Texas has by far a harder schedule... bluekick 11 Report Share Posted September 13, 2005 Tennessee's schedule beats 'em both... four top 10 teams, along with the possibility of the SEC championship.
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted September 13, 2005 UNC is not the same level as the others mentioned, if you want to compare them to someone on your schedule it would be Kansas. You might find it interesting that the most recent Sagarin Ratings have VT #2 and Texas #9. As for schedule strength, Tech is #49 with a 73.29 rating while Texas is #113 with 60.69. Miami has the toughest schedule with a 95.47.

Sources 10 Report Share Posted September 13, 2005 Tennessee is overrated. Don't be suprised if they drop one or two games before it's all said and done.

bluekick 11 Report Share Posted September 13, 2005 The Vols will roll all over Florida. Mahelona will tear Leak a new one. Now that they've got a QB figured out they'll be next to unstoppable.
EH31 2,532 Report Share Posted September 13, 2005 is it ainge or clausen?
Bluefield_Rules 46 Author Report Share Posted September 13, 2005 The scary thing if you're a UT fan is that Angie is far and away more talented than Clausen. However, Angie cannot win the starting job over Clausen and Clausen will now start Saturday at Florida.
spike83 10 Report Share Posted September 14, 2005 You think they'll be able to keep your man Vick out of jail long enough to finish the rest of the season, much less a bowl game?
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted September 14, 2005 Well spike, Marcus made a mistake. He was punished and is moving on with his life and career. Why don't we just let him do that?
EH31 2,532 Report Share Posted September 15, 2005 I'd go with Schaffer(?) # 7 from last year lol what happened to him? I'd rather see clausen starting rather than ainge.
