GHS06 10 Report Share Posted October 9, 2005 Hudson looks good after the first inning, and trust me, thats good news. it all comes down to what bobby wants to do. he may pitch smoltz in relief. if he does, atl might win game 4 but they are DOOMED for game 5, but if he saves smoltz for game 5, hudson needs to go at least 8 innings. Â Andruw Jones lead off double in the second.
Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted October 9, 2005 I cannot recall Hudson going eight innings all season. If so, it was early in the season b/c over the past couple of months he has been very average for the most part and out of the game before the 7th... GHS06 10 Report Share Posted October 9, 2005 actually, the last time he pitched on short rest, he went 8 innings against the mets. it was right when hampton and thomson went on the disabled list. Â hudson looks extremely sharp today.
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted October 9, 2005 Braves up 6-1 in the 8th. Hudson is batting right now so it looks like he gets to try and finish it.

BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted October 9, 2005 [ QUOTE ] someone kill me for being a braves fan and actually believing in them  [/ QUOTE ] Don't worry man. I've been a Braves fan for a really long time and have come to accept losing in the playoffs.  Until Schuerholz starts to spend more money on the bullpen and less on power hitters, and until Bobby Cox figures out the regular season and playoffs require different strategies, not much is going to change. Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted October 9, 2005 Atlanta deserves to lose, if you cannot keep a 6-1 lead in the 8th you deserve to be sitting at home. Need I even say it? Â BULLPEN

BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted October 9, 2005 How many free agents will the Braves have? I know Furcal is and he probably won't be back, but anyone else?
GHS06 10 Report Share Posted October 9, 2005 probably all the regulars will be back and they are pretty much set in the starting rotation..but geez the bullpen, here are the free agents  FOSTER BROWER FARNSWORTH FRANCO, J FURCAL JORDAN HOLLANDSWORTH KOLB PEREZ
beaverbaseball 10 Report Share Posted October 9, 2005 Well looks like it will be my Cardinals agianst the Astros going after the NL Title
Blues_56 23 Report Share Posted October 9, 2005 I'm not sure bout the Furcal thing, i believe they will look on the market for a better one but Furcal is what u want for a SS, speed, STRONG arm and doesnt commmin a whole lot of errors.
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted October 10, 2005 That's true but I don't think the Braves will be able to compete for Furcal on the free agent market. I'd say he's gone.
Bulldogs52 484 Report Share Posted October 10, 2005 if they want to keep him they will, its not like they dont have the money to sign him. i hope they try.
