Bulldogs52 484 Report Share Posted October 10, 2005 hey wagner is going to be a free agent the braves should try for him for that bull pen. When i talked to him before he ever got drafted he said that he would love to be drafted by the braves. So may be his chance if the braves wanna go that route!!!!! BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted October 10, 2005 [ QUOTE ] its not like they dont have the money to sign him  [/ QUOTE ] It's exactly like they don't have the money to sign him. The free spending days ended when Ted Turner sold out to AOL/Time Warner. Schuerholtz has a budget now and he has to stay within it. Smoltz, Hudson, and the Jones boys (not to mention Hampton) are eating a very large chunk of it and there isn't a whole lot left for the rest of the team. That's why Maddux, Glavine, Drew, Sheffield, Lopez and many others (including some pretty good relievers) are playing elsewhere now. If Furcal stays it will be because he wants to stay. He will get better offers than the Braves can make.
Bulldogs52 484 Report Share Posted October 10, 2005 I read some where a few weeks ago that ted is trying to get back in there and with that man money he might just be back, not for sure if it would happen but it would be nice!!!
