Tech is in a 3 way tie atop the ACC with UNC and UVA but the Hokies own the tie breakers over both of the teams. VT will face UVA in Charlottesville on Thursday and the winner of that game will probably go on to become the regular season champion of the ACC.

VT can't overlook UVA, esp. when it is at UVA.

GT led most of the game saturday against UVA, only to not score another point the last 3:30 in the game. UVA took the lead with 30 seconds left and never looked back.

The crowd at UVA can be silent, but it is a tough place to play when they get excited.

Exactly, it's Tech's to lose at this point. Let's say they beat UVA. Then they have a Clemson team that started the season 17-0. What does that mean? That means that the boys can play. That also means that they don't have much to lose at this point, and what better way to make a statement than to take out the team atop the standings...

But, all that needs to be said after the game on Thursday night. Go Hokies.

what's happening to UNC??

They cannot make free-throws in the to close out games. They missed key free-throws against VT and Maryland when they had the lead. Then missed free-throws that would have tied both games in the final seconds. Something as basic as free-throws makes a HUGE difference this time of the year...

All of this assuming UNC wins out:

If VaTech beats UVa, Tech gets the #1 seed by owning the tie breaker over the Heels.

If UVa beats VaTech, UNC gets the #1 seed by owning the tie breaker over the Hoos.
