“I love everything he’s done and everything he’s doing,” Bennett said of Obama. “I think we should give him all-out support for anything he wants to do. We should all help. He’s giving our country back to us, and that’s the laws of the land – the citizens own the country.”

 

 

Anyone that thinks that we should give the president ALL out support for ANYTHING that he wants to do is literally out of their mind and do not have any idea of the meaning of checks and balances.

 

If this were Bush I would have said the same thing, no one president needs all out support for anything that he wants to do. Opposition is what keeps the parties in check. Everyone in the country will not always agree with the president or congress, regardless of who it might be and the president does not need a blank check to to as he pleases.

I don't know who that is but correct, celebrities are some of the most out of touch people there are, they often think they are more intellectual than common Americans because of their lifestyle and because of the way they have fans who look up to them. Not suggesting they're all bad people, only very ignorant on a lot of matters much of the time.

As for the comments yall are correct about those to, who could possibly think the American people are getting their country back? Last I knew of the recent government had taken over quite a few major corporations and banks and put them under government control and is looking to be the provider of all, health care to be a government controlled item before long, census bureau is now out of the hands of the people and controlled by the white house. America has been a free country basically up till recently and it's become the other way around almost weekly, what about this country are the people "getting back?"

Reminds me all of how some celebrity pop star, I don't really know 1 from the other, said how good the president was doing, saying how it's not an easy job to be the "ruler" of the country. Since when did this free country have a "ruler"?

I read an article a few days ago about how many people like him as president because he's so "hip". This fascination and worship so many people have with this president is very bad for the country. If America actually goes that shallow route beyond this past election it will without any doubt seal it's fate in every way. People in America will learn the hard way that "hip" will not sustain a nation as a superpower or a great country, nor will it protect it.

I would guess that most people would realize the benefits of living in a great country as opposed to living in a lesser country, but then this is a topic about many American's being out of touch so it's hard to be certain really.

I would guess less care about America being a superpower, but that is grave in my opinion, because again as in the case of being out of touch with reality, I'd guess many don't honestly realize the simple but enormous fact that much of the world goes as America goes, and that America has kept the world a much more civil place, advanced human rights, and it's strength, influence and might has kept much peace throughout the world, and in turn, that better world makes it much better, safer and easier for us here to. You reap what you sew.

1 thing is for certain, America has been a great superpower for decades, so the obvious would be if it falls from that status it has truly gone in a backwards direction.

Anymore it's always simple for me to put things in examples of sports to make a point, since this is a sports message board after all, so if Bluefield football for example fell from the ranks of 1 of the premier football programs in the state to a common 1, would anyone who supports bluefield in their right mind consider that a good thing?

Only a complete fool would willingly desire a lesser status in anything, anyone in their right mind would do everything in their power to be, surround themselves with, and have the best.

The unfortunate thing about what you posted is that the very leaders of our country, DO NOT see America the way that you indicated it to be in your last post.

 

The see America as being the cause of all of the worlds problems, they see us as the great evil and that is what upsets me so much about them.

 

The things you mentioned above are enough, but are only a drop in the bucket as to what America has done for the world, yet we have leaders in both parties that see America as the problem.

You are very correct, this American guilt is very wrong and dangerous to the world and this country.

Much of the problem is many in politics believe that a 1 world order and government is what the world really needs and that is their agenda, consolidation with europe and other countries, and much lesser concern for America as an individual country. As with anything else, such consolidation doesn't bring the other countries up to America's level, it is only possible if America drops to the other countries levels.

Ironic that that's an exact example of the certain failure of socialism, spreading the wealth, taking from those who have to give to those who don't have, only brings the strong and those who have down to the levels of those with much less. And it's a destructive cycle that feeds on itself in a bad way from that point because the strong were really the providers in the 1st place. So you've removed them, in this bigger case, America, so now what, you've got the equality you were looking for, everyone is more equally aligned, more equally weak, and now more equally in need and equally in need of someone to provide. The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

 

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

 

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

 

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

 

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

 

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.

 

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

 

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

 

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker."

I wasn't directing this at you, only that so many people believe everything that the liberal mainstream media tells them, FOX INCLUDED.

 

There is so much more to the story than we are being told that it is frightening, and to believe that one group or political party is to blame is not giving proper credit to what is a historical fact.

 

The facts of history show that this has been an ongoing problem for many years, starting with Teddy Roosevelt, expanded by Wilson, Hyper Expanded by FDR, expanded by Johnson , turned back a little by Reagan, expanded again by First Bush, expanded by Clinton, hyper expanded by lil Bush and placed on WARP SPEED by Obama.
