  1. Thinking Tyrod Taylor got screwed out of the Heisman race is a laugher. Take off the Hokie tinted shades, my friend.
  2. I think you all need to chill out. This is high school football, not the NFL. You all need to get lives that have real concerns. This is high school football in a small town in Virginia. Get over yourselves. If the biggest concern in your lives as grown men is to get on a message board and trash a coach of a high school football team, then you need a serious reality check. Worry about your faith, your families, your money, your job, etc. This is ridiculous.
  3. If this has anything to do with what I said, I'll tell you right now that I stand by every word. I said that I "heard" that he was in trouble with drugs. I never said it was a fact. And even if it were fact, I have every right to post it, as every crime is public knowledge. Yes, smoking weed is a crime. He isn't a kid; he's a college athlete and a man. He isn't a minor, therefore if he truly was in trouble for drugs and I knew it for fact, there is nothing in law that could stop me from it.
  4. He may be in trouble...I'm sure we're all aware of his troubles since he's been at Tech.
  5. Next year would be a great year for Richlands to play Bluefield. Bluefield loses nearly everyone and Richlands would stand a decent chance of winning..because we all know they wouldn't want to risk losing again. With the predictable odds in their favor, I don't know why they wouldn't schedule.
  6. From a Miami fan, believe me...Miami can be beat. Miami is good, but when they're off (and by "they" I mean Jacory Harris and Travis Benjamin), it's terrible. When Harris is on, Miami is a great team; but when he's bad, he's REALLY bad. Tack on Travis Benjamin not knowing where he is half the time and anyone can beat Miami if they play decently well (just ask Ohio State). It took a Clemson playing horribly for Miami to pull that one out.
  7. Huge, HUGE win for Virginia Tech. A win on the road against a tough opponent after struggling to open the season is HUGE for momentum.
  8. Regular season losses AFTER the Mount View game in '06: James Monroe (06), Princeton (08), South Charleston (08).
  9. Everyone can agree that Bluefield needs to improve offensively. Only putting up 17 points against Princeton (when every other opponent not named Graham has put up 40+) should tell you something. Quit the arguing and open your eyes, you pansies.
  10. They also lost later in the '06 season at James Monroe. Are there any more games we can throw at PJ?
  11. PJ also said Bluefield's last regular season loss to a WV school was in '06 at Mount View. He must be forgetting the loss to Princeton at Mitchell Stadium in '08. Don't believe this guy. He can't even get the simplest of facts straight.
  12. No need to get cocky, as Bluefield is just two weeks removed from the slaughtering they endured in Charlotte. Comments like this don't help matters along the lines of people seeing Bluefield as the classy club they are. Take the win with class, sir. No one knows who lost the game more than Gate City does. Bluefield needs to improve, and this win tonight is nothing more than something to look at and build on.
  13. Russell Wilson for Heisman. Wolfpack - 27 Hokies - 13
  14. Colin Cowherd's remarks were priceless. "He looks like a little kid who got the field!"
  15. LSU's pass defense is very suspect and that could hurt them. However, their overall defense is great, ranking 5th in points against, allowing only 11.3/game. WVU's offensive line was absolutely dominated by Marshall's very physical front seven and I see much of the same coming against LSU. LSU - 24 WVU - 14
  16. He was under center and scored on a run? What were the plays?
  17. Miami's defense is very impressive, and their playmakers on offense are impressive. Just like GMAN, I'm still not sold on Harris. Harris is good, and he can play, but he's NOWHERE near the quarterback that people make him out to be. In all respects to Harris, however, he wasn't responsible for the 4 ints at OSU. Last night's picks, though, he was responsible for. If Harris keeps the mistakes down and Benjamin doesn't stick his head in the sand, Miami is tough to beat.
  18. 1. The Heisman voting is a joke. The person with the most total points from votes wins, not the person with the most first-place votes. So, if a person is considered to be the best player in college football (because he had the most people think he should get first place) but gets less second-place votes than another guy, he won't win the Heisman (example: Tim Tebow in 2008 when Bradford won the Heisman). The voting system is horrible; if more people vote for you to be in first place than the other candidates, you should win. You shouldn't lose the Heisman voting because less people thought you were the third best player in football. 2. A re-vote would be an incredibly stupid idea. As Observer said, you can't just ask people to vote on something that happened 5 years ago. 3. If anything is done with the trophy, give it to Young or leave it vacant. Young was the runner-up so he would be an easy choice. If anything, base it on the national championship game, which was one of the best performances anyone has or will ever see in any sporting event.
  19. I would love to say something, however Hokie has said everything that needs to be said. Keep the series.
