futbolking 766 Report Share Posted January 31, 2010 Not sure who you're talking about...but Graham has been petitioning to play up to AA for years..they've had single A numbers as long as I can remember....They will be in the middle of the pack as far as enrollment goes... Grundy has had single A numbers for years too... Only can make things better and more competitive for the district's they're joining is the way I see it. What's not right is having kids play against schools with 3 times their enrollment, which is what Graham has done for years...it's about time somebody made this move. Thanks to "coach" marrs. Don't use the "graham has been playing schools with 3 times there enrollment" excuse. It doesn't fly. Carlock never used it. ..... 10 Report Share Posted January 31, 2010 First of all Graham is not moving to single A because of football or basketball they are moving because of the other sports. for example when your girls soccer team has a double digit number in the win column and then make it to regionals and lose by 10. Graham and Grundy just wants to be on an even playing field. The G-men and G-girls compete just fine in the SWD where all the schools are pretty similar in size. and im just curious what you people would be saying if coach mance had an 0-10 season ???? If i recall when tazewell had that good season everybody just praised coach wyatt "Yea COY" and now that he had one bad season some people are like screw him he sucks. In high school youre only as good as what the parents send you and it goes in cycles one year richlands is good the next graham two years later richlands sucks and tazewell is good thats just an example so people get off Coach marrs back unless you think you can come and be a better AD and head coach. Do the parent's break down film, lay out the gameplan, and oversee the off-season weight program. From what I understand, some other "SWD" football teams are lucky to have a handful of kids in the weight room. It is more than just what the parents send up.
