BHS03 99 Report Share Posted March 31, 2011 Just curious as to the number of Div. 1 football players to come out of Carroll County in the past 10-30 years?

Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted April 2, 2011 None Really? You'd think that SOMEONE would've at least made a I-AA squad.
EH31 2,526 Report Share Posted April 2, 2011 I heard there was a guy last year from Grayson County that played for MIT. I know that isn't on topic, but pretty cool for him

redtiger 1,742 Report Share Posted April 2, 2011 this isint directed at anyone in particular but I dont think people in general realize how hard it is to make a D-1 roster, it really does take a special player, he must have talent for sure but the work ethic required is unreal
old_school_blue 247 Report Share Posted April 3, 2011 Not in the last "10-30 years"... Sorry, misread the original post as "ever." Not a completely serious post, stated with a touch of humor.

But when you have a high school that has 1000+ people and consistently fields a reasonably good football team, it's just a pinch surprising that nary a player has stuck on a roster at a place like W&M, Richmond, etc. in the last 30 years. redtiger 1,742 Report Share Posted April 3, 2011 true. Desire has alot to do w/ it. Haysi has fielded some pretty good teams but not alot of college players at any level, they just dont want to go to college. There are alot of factors that go into it(im sure you all know that), it is kinda suprising tho
bballer 10 Report Share Posted April 4, 2011 Doug Reavis played at Emory & Henry as DB & Punt Returner. Still holds records for punts returned, & interception return yards. He played there from 1986-1989.
