Lunker Bass 27 Report Share Posted November 10, 2011 A must see for all college football fans. It's one of those ESPN documentary type shows. Watched it twice and I'm a fan of neither. I think after watching this, it very well may be the best rivalry in sports. Check it out.
sixcat 2,942 Report Share Posted November 10, 2011 I thought it was the best 30 for 30 yet. Can you believe the idiot that poisoned the Oak Trees at Auburn. He named one kid Crimson Tide, another Bear Bryant and wanted to name his daughter Ally Bama and his wife said hell no! Like sports, love life. That's taking it WAY too seriously. hokie07 11 Report Share Posted November 10, 2011 I find it ironic that one of the most inept states in the country with the least amount of college graduates is so crazy over college football. They need a pro team.
Guest The Variable Report Share Posted November 10, 2011 Agreed. Auburn/Alabama isn't healthy... My mother in law spent the first 20-something years of her life growing up in Alabama. She roots for both teams.

theochocinco 10 Report Share Posted November 10, 2011 It has to be one of the best 30 for 30 i have ever seen. Still doesn't beat the Reggie Miller one.
hokie07 11 Report Share Posted November 10, 2011 (edited) I thought it was one of the best and I enjoyed it more than the others, honestly. I wish it was a little bit longer, and I thought they left a lot of stuff out that could've been mentioned. All it did was cram both program's histories and the past 2 seasons into an hour's worth of time. Definitely should've been longer. The Reggie Miller and Fab 5 ones were the best overall, IMO. blueinbama 259 Report Share Posted November 10, 2011 (edited) I find it ironic that one of the most inept states in the country with the least amount of college graduates is so crazy over college football. They need a pro team. I grow a little tired of my home state being thrown under the bus. There are plenty of states that don't have pro football, West Virginia and Virginia being two of them. I have lived in Southwest Virginia (9 years) and I love Southwest Virginia and would never use some of the ignorant stereotypes to refer to anyone here. I also love Alabama and the people back home, and I'm offended by the blanket statement that the people of Alabama are inept. I had to try and research this a bit in order to make an intelligent comment, especially since I was born in Alabama and have relatives there. The most recent graduation numbers I could find on the state of Alabama were from 2009. Alabama was ranked 33rd. There are of course pockets of both Alabama and Virginia that are less educated than others, but to say the people of Alabama are inept is an erroneous and ignorant statement. Alabama 16,989 8,056 47% 33 Certainly no Virginia, ranked #2 with a 68% graduation rate, but ahead of many other states including: Texas 59,456 27,409 46% 36 Georgia 29,771 13,434 45% 37 Kentucky 16,608 7,470 45% 38 West Virginia 10,840 4,823 44% 39 Montana 5,246 2,316 44% 40 South Dakota 4,820 2,118 44% 41 Oklahoma 15,580 6,545 42% 42 Hawaii 2,479 1,037 42% 43 Utah 8,420 3,471 41% 44 New Mexico 6,522 2,611 40% 45 Arkansas 11,495 4,418 38% 46 Louisiana 23,894 9,076 38% 47 Idaho 4,617 1,724 37% 48 Nevada 5,847 2,153 37% 49 Alaska 2,038 540 26% 50 District of Columbia 269 29 11% 51 http://edpond.blogspot.com/2010/10/college-graduation-rates-by-state-2009.html Edited November 10, 2011 by blueinbama

It wasn't meant to be a backhanded comment towards your home state. I have lots of ties to the South and truly appreciate its history (THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN!!!! jk jk). Confederate history is honestly my favorite. Robert E. Lee is my most favorite historical figures. Seriously, I know how you feel. I am a West Virginian (who has both a high school and college degree) and know that much of the negativity towards a great state is unwarranted. Again, I don't see anything wrong with Alabama or its people, it's just ironic. Uneducated people loving collegiate football. No smoking at a tobacco plant. It's all irony. That's all and I apologize again.
