He had like 3 or 4 calls against him in the 1st half alone... lol.

Ryan4VT 4,557 Report Share Posted November 28, 2011 How in the world is Hosley not a 1st teamer? He was a 1st team All-American last year. And it's not like he got worse, opposing teams just don't throw his way as much. That should count for something!

He hasn't had that extra step this year, and IMO if it wasn't for him doing very well to stop short screens and runs, he wouldn't even deserve second team. I believe the hamstring may still be a lingering injury.

Ryan4VT 4,557 Report Share Posted November 28, 2011 he was good enough for 1st team enough said I agree based on the body of work that he deserves 1st team, but in the VT game, he damn sure didn't look like a 1st teamer, IMO. lol

deuceswild 15 Report Share Posted November 28, 2011 Hosley was pedestrian this year. Hamstring injury and got burned like Eddie Whitley on a few plays. Surprised Whitley was a 2nd teamer.
rhsfan88 22 Report Share Posted November 29, 2011 Agreed with everything about Hosley, just didn't seem like the same player this season. The hamstring injury has really hampered his play. The one I am upset about is Kyle Fuller, that guy makes plays everywhere on the field, IMHO should have been 1st team. And it appears with Wilson and Kuechly will be OPOY and DPOY when those are announced. Only 2 to be unanimous selections on either team. deuceswild 15 Report Share Posted November 29, 2011 Yeah, Kyle's my boy. Great kid, great player. Big question... we see Wilson as a Hokie next year?
BlueTornadoFan 17 Report Share Posted November 29, 2011 Yeah, Kyle's my boy. Great kid, great player. Big question... we see Wilson as a Hokie next year? Depends. Is the majority, if not all, of the offensive line leaving after this year due to graduation??

BlueTornadoFan 17 Report Share Posted November 29, 2011 Well if we lose him to the Draft.... Then that 5 star RB that we pulled in might ease the loss of DW a bit.....But I don't see him going after this year.

He got beat alot. Fuller should have been first team. D. Hopkins should have been on at least 2nd.
