The live updates and stats is an excellent feature however.
beaverbaseball 10 Report Share Posted March 14, 2013 Looks as if #3 Westside is mere minutes away from exiting the tournament early. They were considered one of top contenders that might be able to hang with Bluefield. Bridgeport pulls away in the final few minutes. Bridgeport: 74 Westside: 65 1:30 left to play
bhs7695 185 Report Share Posted March 14, 2013 Bridgeport's boys and girls AA teams knock off Westside's teams in consecutive weeks. That's gotta sting! Bridgeport sounded like they did a tremendous job breaking the Westside press. Even Magnolia had their press broken badly at times yesterday by Wheeling Central and Magnolia is gone early. If anyone can handle the Bluefield press, the Beavers will be in trouble.

Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted March 15, 2013 Is it possible to purchase single game tickets? I may be able to make it to tomorrow night's but need to know about getting tickets. Yes; general admission is $8. However, with the game being sandwiched between two AAA games including Beckley/South Charleston you better get here as soon as possible. The Civic Center does a poor job with moving the ticket line quickly. I stood in line for an hour last year during the Friday morning session and missed the first half of Tug and Wyo. East. Tickets will go on-sale for the evening session as the final game of the first session is ending.

Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 Fairmont is going to be a TALL task for Beaver. They are not a tall team, but they are strong, athletic, and fast.
GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 I see where Fairmont has lost 6 games this season...three to AAA opponents, twice to North Marion, and once to Wyoming East. They did beat RC Byrd twice during the season...by 5 points and 1 point.
bhs7695 185 Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 Bluefield hasn't played well in the two games so far IMO. Too many missed layups and free throws. If they play like that today, they'll get beat for sure.
