Lebanon comes out with a victory easily. The closest game between the two last year was 7-0. That’s because it was one inning……. Now maybe rr is much improved from last year but I still don’t think it will matter

I think Lebanon won this one 11 to 5. Lebanon didn't play as well as they are capable of an still won by 6. Wouldn't be surprised if they run rule them next time. I don't think Lebanon will be challenged until the region semis or finals. They definitely have a solid shot at winning their 2nd state title in 3 years, but we will see.

They followed the Rural Retreat win, with a 16 to 0 win against Holston.

Just looking at scores, Eastside and Lebanon seem to be the two big juggernauts currently in Region D 1A.  Unfortunately, they will be headed for a semifinal matchup again.

It does appear that way. I would give Lebanon the advantage in that match up. I think Lebanon has played a tougher schedule then Eastside. It was a good game last year, so we will see. Lebanon is hitting well right now, and has excellent pitching. They've had two different pitchers throw no hitters in the past 2 games. If they play like that,  they are the favorite.

I think the pitcher who threw the no hitter against Holston is the Barton kid. Huge increase in velocity from last year. He’s probably sitting 80-82 right now. He’s still a strike thrower because he narrowly missed a perfect game by walking only one. The one who threw against PH I think was Phillips. Last year he struggled a bit with the strike zone but right now he’s painting every corner. A solid increase in velo from last season. I think in most games he’s probably sitting somewhere around 84 along with having an off day with velocity every now and then. He can still run it up to 87 I think someone said. He missed his perfect game opportunity by an error in the top of the 5th. And then there’s Buchanan. He is still as dominant as he was last year. Throwing strikes with 3 different pitches. Works ahead in counts. All 3 of the hogo first team pitchers should  be on the same team.

It is insane how deep Lebanon is in pitching. If all 3 are playing that consistently they are going to be hard to beat in any game the rest of the way, especially in the post season. Very few 1 A teams have that type of depth. Now they are hitting well and still getting better. I think this year's Lebanon team is considerably better than last year.

Which one of them was the left handed one?
