BeaverFan 10 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 i saw lucas stone nail a 55 yarder right down the pipes in warm ups, how many high school kickers can do that
Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 Actually, I think it was a 57-yarder that he nailed in warm ups Friday night. The hold was from the 47-yard line...
shadyfan 10 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 I think in the shady game last year he made a 40 plus yard field goal he is very impressive. Is he getting any looks from D1?
Pdot 10 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 Best kicker in the state this year and probably last year!!
Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 [ QUOTE ] Best kicker in the state this year and probably last year!! Â [/ QUOTE ] Â I'd say the kid from Parkersburg, Loudon(?), is right up there with Lucas. In AA though, and A for that matter, Lucas is hands down the best kicker in the state. GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 He missed one and had one blocked when the pressure was on during the scrimmage... Â Actually, I think his kick was 52 yards in warmups...and barely cleared the crossbar...
Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 [ QUOTE ] He missed one and had one blocked when the pressure was on during the scrimmage...  [/ QUOTE ]  But it doesn't help when your line doesn't block the opponent coming at you...lol    [ QUOTE ] Actually, I think his kick was 52 yards in warmups...and barely cleared the crossbar...  [/ QUOTE ]  I was sitting right there at the 45-yard line on that side and I pretty sure the hold was at the 47. I could be wrong though, but if it was only 52 yards that's still impressive for high school.
BeaverFan 10 Author Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 ok g-man , find me some other kickers that can kick from a distance like that and put them up against lucas stone and we'll see who can kick the farthest with best accuracy
GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 Easy...Pulaski's kicker...who, BTW, did connect from 37 during the scrimmage with plenty to spare. In warmups, he was kicking them over the concession stand and into the parking lot from 40 yards out...from the hash marks...
VHSFan999 10 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 The best kicker I have seen in high school football is a kid from Tennesse High School a few years ago. I saw him make 2 50 yard fields goals and he kicked a handful of kickoffs out of the end zone.
GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted August 24, 2004 V-High had a pretty good kicker a few years back...didn't he kick for UT???
Lance 228 Report Share Posted August 25, 2004 This elliot kid from Grundy who quit is a 9th grader and can knock down 45's all day...but...he'd rather be skateboarding i guess. Â Best kicker I ever saw around here was Joey Worley from Garden back in the 80's and Dillon Reese (<-spelling?)who is a walk on at Va Tech now is pretty accurate also. VHSFan999 10 Report Share Posted August 25, 2004 Yeah we it was Alex Walls who kicked for us then went on to play for UT. He made the Bears practice squad after graduating but was later cut.

Lance 228 Report Share Posted August 26, 2004 well...he can do it...trust me. Â he's just not got his head or heart in it this year...so..i dont think he put much effort into it at all. Â He can kick though...don't be fooled.
