I quit listening to the Friday night scoreboard show because the guy who was doing it was horrible and literally cried on the air one night talking about his missing dog or something. Motorhead 5150 21 Report Share Posted September 5, 2017 My top worst fields would be: (and this is no reflection on the people who live there) 1. Marion- The baseball/football field is horrible. They need a dedicated field just for football. 2. Richlands visitor side- I was over there one year back in the 80's when a bleacher broke and a girl fell through and hit a metal cross member underneath the stands. Not enough seats for the big rival games plus no concessions or bathrooms on visitor's side. 3. Grundy- Awful stands (only one side) and awful field. Well it used to be like that. I haven't been to a game there in several years. 4. Lebanon- So cramped in beside the old high school it's not even funny. Legion field in Gate City was intimidating back in the 80's (fireworks being set off during the game by fans) but I went there for a playoff game about 3 yrs ago and thoroughly enjoyed it! The fans were great and I witnessed true sportsmanship at the end of the game between the Richlands fans and the GC fans. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
