  1. Radford last won the title in the early 70s with everything QB Ken Alderman. But, can't always use the history argument, because before today, Radford had not beating Graham in about 30 years. Radford has never had a QB this game changing since Alderman 50 yrs ago who was elite for his time. What ai am getting at is....Radford has had a bunch of "firsts" this year. Radford can beat Riverheads. Riverheads can beat Radford, but Radford can beat Riverheads. The most shocking part of the game today or surprise was Radfords run defense. If they replicate thst next week, they have a decent chance to beat Riverheads.
  2. Best all around HS Football player and most impactful for his team in my opinion is the Hill kid on the line of scrimmage for Graham. I'm sure a QB, RB, or WR always gets the first look, but if you want the most consistent player and productive player in the SWD in my opinion, it's the Hill kid for Graham.
  3. Grahams defense has played more than well enough to win today. Gave Radford a short field on the punt and that's 2 Tds for Radford. They did a masterful job on Clark. The Difference in this game has been Graham's inability to move the ball (at all) in the second half.
  4. I know the Big Red is the fashionable pick and they are solid, but I think Radford will move the ball all over them. I think Radford will beat Riverheads.
  5. We have learned this lesson many times. Yes, Reg D can win over the C team, but it doesn't happen much and picking the D team can result in a bad choice. Lastly, Galax is Galax. They rise to the top year after year most times, no matter how bad they look in week 2, do not pick against them in the west.
  6. Yep, they are out of time now. Even if they hold Radford this series on this 3rd down, Graham likely doesn't have time to ground and pound for long. They will have to put it in the air.
  7. How much time left and score of the Galax vs Honaker game?
  8. Graham has zero ideas offensively and credit to Radfords staff. They have completely looked like a different team defensively in the second half. 3rd and 4 and Graham goes away from Clements and throws it on 3rd down. Graham has had 3 third downs in this half of less than 3rd and 5 where Clements didn't touch the ball. They passed it instead.
  9. Look for Graham to throw deep balls on this upcoming series for Graham. Graham's OC is starting to panic. Not sure what to do
  10. Bus driver.....start turning those keys over. Another thing that's happened here. Graham isnt moving the ball this quarter. Radford is now completely selling out on the run and going to make the sophomore QB beat them in the air.
  11. Something to think about in this game. Radford has not given up the Big play to Graham. No explosive 50 yds type plays given up by the D and Graham has done that too everyone.
  12. I don't think its about its. I thinks Ifs is what separates the two teams. Really good teams catch balls in open field. If you don't catch an open ball, u probably aren't as good as the other team. The blame is on Graham, not "bad luck.'
  13. 2 dropped passes for touchdowns. And literally nothing Radford did to cause it. Just simple dropped balls.
  14. If Graham just catches the ball twice and just has 1 bad punt instead of 2, it's a 21-7 or 21-8 ballgame. Literally, 3 plays have completely flipped the script for Graham.
  15. For Graham to win, it will need to be by 10 pts. They aren't going to win this game if it's super close. Those discipline and concentration issues will cost them, whether an off sides, a dropped pass, a bad punt, it's tough to overcome in a very close game. Graham will need to get a 10 pt lead and maintain it to win this game in my opinion.
  16. Little Salem can do a 7-6 game if the opponent wants, or it can do 57-50. It morphs into whatever is necessary. Typical Galax.
  17. Graham is beat brothers. You can see it. You can feel it. Another dropped touchdown. Graham should be leading 21-14. Mental toughness, focus, discipline. Graham seems just "one play short." 2 bad punts, Graham might have double the total yardage against Radford in the first half.
  18. 3 giant plays that could have had huge momentum in this game. 2 fumbles by Radford and both fumbles bounce directly back into a Radford players hands surrounded by GMen. Then the dropped touchdown. Graham is 0-3 on giant momentum changing plays. Bad sign for Graham
  19. Heck of a show by Princeton. How about that Head Coach of theirs? I love Taylor. Came out and punched the mighty Bulldogs in the face, but talent and depth has taken over. It's all u can ask of Princeton. Tough, tough bunch this year and great story. Nice TD at tend of the half to make it 28-13. I hope N.Brown from WVU (Head Coach) who is standing on the sidelines at this game realizes there is a stud named Collins who needs an offer from WVU on the spot, and he plays for Princeton, and he's as good as anybody Martinsburg has right now.
  20. I'm already shocked. I thought it would be 21-0 right now in favor of Martinsburg. If Princeton were to somehow pull this off, their run would be one of the biggest upset type runs in our coverage area in 40 years. I truly believe, just my opinion, it would be that big of a deal.
  21. They are a machine. Ask Salem who played em a couple of times. Princeton has no chance, but neither would any other team in this coverage area, nor WV, nor 95 percent of teams in Virginia.
  22. I'm rooting for Galax in C because that's my district as a Giles fan. Galax might win, but I think Honaker is way to good to lose bigtime.
  23. I'm not trying to be offensive here, but I'm really struggling and having a tough time reconciling how one has the last name of "Scuttlebutt." It reminds me of guy I once knew in Texas with the last name of Shittselstein.
  24. Final. North Carolina 2A semi's. Reidsville 49, Shelby 14. Shelby was a 1pt favorite going into this game by Calpreps. Reidsville will take on historical eastern power in the 2A title game next week in the Darkhorses of Clinton High. I've always loved that nickname. Clinton High is the former school of Terry Holland and Willie Parker (former Pittsburgh Steeler). Reidsville is where former Graham Head Coach and longtime Carlock assistant Doug Marrs coaches as the Defensive Coordinator. I think Marrs is still there and hasn't retired yet. He went to Reidsville after leaving Graham.
