  1. Lebanon with a long bomb for six points. Canes playing excellent run defense, but leaving receivers open downfield. 2pt is good. Lebanon 14, Marion 7 in 2nd qtr.
  2. Yep. Took me a whole quarter to figure that out 😂
  3. And in the most embarrassing thing that's happened to me this week, in a battle between two teams wearing red and white, I forgot who was the home team 🤣 That power-I certainly makes sense now. Lebanon scores but fails to convert the PAT. Marion leads 7-6 early in the 2nd.
  4. On Saturday, Marion was running a spread no huddle. Tonight, on two days of practice, they're running a power-I.
  5. Ryan, man, I get that you're emotional about this, understandably so, but to insinuate that there is some sort of conspiracy to keep Richlands out of of playoffs is absurd. Who are "the SWD?" The ADs? The principals? I know that it feels like Richlands is outnumbered against Tazewell and Graham, but there are three other schools in the district that may not have had a realistic chance at a district title, but they did have a say in these decisions. I highly doubt Lebanon, VA High, and Marion conspired with Graham and Tazewell to keep Richlands out of playoffs. I was all for giving Tazewell crap for not "acting like they'd been there," but I'd expect better from Richlands, who for the first time in 30 years hasn't been the class of the SWD and is drowning in a thimble over it.
  6. Yes. In related news, Curt Newsome is also the reason why Justin Fuente can't recruit.
  7. 28-10 VA High over Marion with 8m remaining. Cornett with a scoop and score for Marion.
  8. Questionable calls, lots of turnovers, and very poor coaching decisions have caused this one to snowball. Unless, I've forgotten something, all of VA High's scoring drives started in Marion territory. They're not as bad as the score would dictate, but they're not good.
  9. 28-3 VA High over Marion in the 3rd. First two possessions of the 3rd quarter for Marion end in turnovers, next two end with turnover on downs deep in their own territory, including one on their 10 yard line. The next time someone tries to defend Tim Smith's coaching abilities, might be a good idea to keep it to yourself.
  10. If Marion scores 14 points, it will be the most points that they have scored all season, so, give me the under.
  11. 14-3 VA High over Marion at half. Marion their own worst enemy with a muffed punt deep in their own territory resulting in a Bearcat TD, and fumble inside the Bearcat 10 near the end of the half
  12. Holston leads RR 22-21 in the 3rd. If this announcer says "calls his own number" or "chopped down" one more time, I'm going to lose my mind.
  13. 145 yds on last two carries alone? I'm a believer; RR is legit.
  14. I read that he was asked why there was a difference between capacities of "rec events" and "entertainment events," and his response was that rec events aren't capable of being "properly staffed." That sounds to me like a churched up way of saying, "high schools can't police the stands to enforce the mask ordinance."

  16. Obviously not. If so, the great perfectionist Stanley Kubrick would have never omitted such a crucial detail when he directed the fake moon landing.
  17. Scored more points against Richlands than Tazewell and Graham combined. Just ignore that other part of the score 🤣

  19. The Hogo is not good at football right now. I would imagine that Lebanon would be the favorite to win the Hogo this year, and unless GW decides to come back, will be near the top for the foreseeable future.
  20. Is it just me, or have the last five days on here been nothing but an ongoing debate about whether or not the fine citizens of Tazewell are acting like jackasses?
  21. If it's any consolation, at the rate things are going, it may never see the light of Marion again.
  22. Marion would hang half-a-hundred on the team I was expecting them to field, so I'm just enjoying the fact they haven't started the second half with continous clock yet lol
  23. Guys, I'm just calling it like it is, nobody cares that Tazewell kept starters in, we get that they didn't have enough players to sub. People are upset that the starters stayed in AND the coaches continued to try and pad stats and run up the score, after they already had conduct issues while the game was still competitive. If Richlands or Graham ran it up on Tazewell in 2019 or 2017 or 1934 it isn't an excuse. Poor sportsmanship is poor sportsmanship, and I'd be saying the same thing if Marion had done it to the Dawgs. Jeffery Dahmer might have been beaten as a kid, but that didn't give him a pass to eat people as an adult. I know that Tazewell's program is better than that. They're not Jeffery Dahmer. They're David Berkowitz at worst 🤣
